I picked up a good mount to replace the one that is making loud metal on metal clanking noises.

Can someone tell me how to replace it by myself? Like tools needed, and methods on how to do it? I looked on vfaq, but theres no vfaq on it.

It is the one that attaches on the center member for the tranny (front one).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just did a a/t-m/t swap in my 96 RS a couple weeks ago. I put bolted this mount up last and found it easier to support the tranny with a jack with a two by four board( might not need but it made me feel safer), only raised the jack until it had minimal pressure on the tranny. Then with the crossmember loose in the front and back( 4 bolts on the na). I positioned the motor mount and startet the bolts, something to pry with and a helper makes this a lot easier, mine didn't want to line up very easily. Anyway after bolts for the mount are tightened retighten the 4 crossmember bolts. lower the jack then presto. Oh yeah btw to clarify I did bolt the mount to the engine before starting the cross member bolts.
hope this helps
