need help NON TURBO wont run

ok heres my problem i have a 1990 block with the different timing location then the other 6 bolt and i put a later 92 head on it -Let me mention my car is a 94 which came with a 7 bolt motor --The timing is 100% dead on changed every senser imaginable checked the maf its working fine changed computors several times and im total baffles whats wrong here - the car is hard to start and if i do get it running it only revs to 3 grand and sounds like its pushing air out the air filter above that and is just sounding like a piece of poop -------i did put turbo cams in it but remember its a NON TURBO -------heres my question is it because i didnt use the 90 cam sensor?..........Ive read on here they are different ---please ---- shoot me some ideas here what it could possibly be -----im completly stumped ----remember its a non turbo and i replaced every sensor imaginable clean fuel filter every thing -------and its turning the new plugs black so im taking it its running way to rich ---------please any one out there in the dsm world give a old guy a bit of good advice on what else could possibly be wrong -- thanks every one ------

Did you tune the motor after you put in the bigger cams?

you shouldn't need to tune for such a minimal change in cams, especially being a maf system which can compensate for a changed VE. if you really did go through every sensor and other electronics then i would imagine it would be a fuel delivery issue. what injectors do you have in there? i would get a cheap fuel pressure tester and go from there.

Hmm...with system running pig rich due to soot covered plugs, I bet the ECU doesn't like you very well, or letting you know that it has a problem.
