Hey everyone, Im new to the whole DSM community and cars for that matter. Im more of a v8 guy but...DSM are great cars. Anyways, My name is Phil and I am in a debaucle. I have to choose between two cars, one has 180k miles and its a 90, the other is 130k miles and its a 95. The thing is that the 90 is really well maintained. The owner has only ever put synthetic mobile 1, premium gas (obviously) and taken really great care of the car. For gods sake he has the stock radio/cd player! LOL its in great shape all around and maintained. The other I wont say is bad either (the 95) Thing is though that its got a shifting problem where something is wrong with the linkage or something he was saying? it doesnt completely engage into second sometimes. Now I liked both cars, but I absolutely have a better feeling with the 90...Not only is it really great but it has those sexy pop up lights LOL. I need help guys...btw both are priced the same.

Id get the 1ga, but id be 100% sure on how bad the rust is on the car, it does look very well maintained though. 90 part differences can bite you in the ass later, but if your keeping it stock for a while i guess it wouldnt matter much. If you where worried about the differences you could get the 90 and swap motors and what not, or get the 92 and swap a 1ga front end. Personally i think the 90 looks much better than the 1gb. Also i hate tranny issues so another point for the 90, and i've dealt with the , "oh yea it just needs this for ONLY $xx, and it will run perfectly!"..another point for the 90. I do like the color on the 92 though..

I just reread yours and noticed your from chitown as well. Your right it wasn't beaton bodywise. It did have an intake and I believe from what I can remember (it was dark) An exhaust, might not mean much but you never know. Also the kid drove me down the block beating the shit out of it, nice kid though.

yeah that kid was a nice guy, but he was younger how old was the man with the 90, take this also into consideration when buying the car, im glad your enjoying you stay at this forum :applause: one out of 100 are real assholes but theres people like that all over. Go with the 90 man, the kid with the 92 was showing you what the car could do . But air intake is air still aftermarket and EVERYTHING is stock in that 90 and it shows that you could put your hands in it and make it YOUR car instead of having someone else do the work for you (if thats your choice) i would have really liked to buy my car all stock.:ohdamn: and not beaten, is the 90 a one owner? take into consideration on how the owner before him took care of it. Where are you from in illinois?

from chicago, like 3 miles from wrigley. I bought the 90' guys...couldnt of made a better decision the car shifts like butter and rides so smooth...i love it!!
