Need help from a 91-94 AWD owner

Question: If you have no rear interior, I need a measurement from between the rear wheel wells' shock towers. From here... to here...

Why: I'm installing the rear wheel wells from a '92 AWD into a '91 Dodge Colt GL hatchback. Nevermind the reasoning. Write me off as insane and just please give me the measurement. I should have taken this measurement, but somehow forgot to do that in 20° weather with 40 mph winds. It's been a royal pain in the ass removing these from one car and cleaning them up for installation in another. This kind of thing is not supposed to happen, but if it fixes my suspension geometry, I'm happy no matter what this takes.

Correct. Everyone I know is un-willing to disassemble their rear interiors to give me a measurement, and I figured that someone here with a cage probably has removed it already and wouldn't create so much hullabaloo just to get that #.

The Colt body I believe is a couple of inches narrower than a AWD DSM, so welding in the AWD wells would give me the opposite of the problem that I have now... which would be no solution at all. Looks like this would fix all problems if I get that top measurement right & could use stock springs/struts from any 91-94 DSM.

When I go back out to the garage I'll try measuring it. I have a rear strut bar on so it might be hard to get a good measurement.

Roughly 35 1/4" from the outside edge of the inside lip to the same on the other side.

Actually I edited my post when I went outside to measure that night so you wouldn't have got a notification.

You understand what I meant by inside and outside, right.

si señor. It would be the OD of one stamped lip of the inner mount to the OD of the other on their closest edges.

Even if I don't get it exact, it will still be a huge improvement on what I currently have... and probably the weirdest modification involved in this project or on any "DSM" I've ever seen.
