It's feels like fuel cut. But it cant be i just bought a stage 1 chip from dsmchips.com that eliminates it.Its a 1990 eclipse. Basically stock apexi 3" turbo back exhaust, boost controller, o2 eliminator. It holds a solid 16 psi when boosting but when it gets in the 5000 ish area.usually 5000-6000 it feels like it fuel cuts. Any suggestions? I'm really in a bind here.

sorry it doesn't jus do it at 16psi. i just put it to 10 psi and it still did it...just at a little higher rpm.

I just did a boost test and the throttle body is leaking. Anyone think this could be the problem even tho the fuel cut was eliminated???

1. Why do you have a chip for 450s? Were you trying to fix fuel cut via the chip? If so, it's a terrible idea.

2. Did this start to happen after you install the chip? If so, perhaps they set the rev limiter at 5k by mistake.

3. Do you have stutterbox.

4. Have you tried the stock chip?

the reason i bought a chip for 450's is because i bought a e prom off my buddy but he only had a chip for 950cc, and my ecu burnt out so i bought a stage 1 for the e prom so my car would run. No it never did this before i installed the ecu. Also the ecu ran perfect in my buddies car. Also if i lower my boost it still does it but at a little bit higher rpm.

yea i've been thinking about that too. But i'm thinking maybe the fuel pump is going.and the fuel pump cant keep up.

well i just changed the fuel pump with another one i had.Same problem. Thanks for the offer oldman but i just tryed that with my buddies and it still does it so i guess it not the chip.I'm so clueless on what this problem could be.My one friend said it could be the mass air.
