Need help ASAP, wit bov!

ok here we go, im workin on my car as we speek still new to the turbo world, my BOV that came with my car sounds like ass.... so im playin aroudn with it and took in off the hose, and itlll idle'd real hard but when i pluged the whole it was fine, and i could feel it push my hand off as i rev'd it! so... i put the BOV back on and when i rev it the only remote sounding thing comes outa my injen intake! which is a loud flutter, so bein teh idiot i am i said hey maybe the bov sound comes out the intake *wack* i smacked myself pulled it off and it made the same sound without teh bov even on the car, so my question is why isnt it workin, can i unplug it? and its a HKS ss and it makes no noise and no air blows out so i dont think it works! HELP its gettin dark and i want to get the bov working!

btw its a eagle talon tsi 95..... if that helps at all..... this seems to be another of the million of things that have gone wrong with this car since i bought it a month ago.....

The BOV should not be leaking and won't make much noise revving in nuetral

i dont think its leaking i dont think anythign is going at all, isnt when u rev there supposed to be air commin out of the front of it were teh vent is!?, and why wont it blow off in nuetral i mean yea i dont spool very high but ive heard alot of other turbo eclipse's and talons bov's and there hella loud!, mine doesnt even sound like anything cause its nopt doin nothing, if i take it off teh intake is still makin all the noise just as with it on, and it makes a flutter noise when u let off teh throttle

The HKS is a very tight BOV, if you rev to like 5-6k you should here something unless you have some vacumm leaks somewhere else.

in neutral, if its hooked up properly, a little air will come out of the front of it if you just free rev a little bit and completely let off the throttle.

Its also, easy to take apart. Just get a allan key and take it apart and check out what kind of condition the diaphram is in.

yea im pullin it apart right now, on the back side were the hose connects theres a vacumme right well i felt it and it sucks a lil, but when i rev it dont suck,..... and yes i can see teh hks is extremely tight

there shouldnt be any vacuum in the back.. is there a hole? are you missing the adjustment screw or something?

hey umm no i got teh screw but all it does is put more pressure on teh vent, so i figured if i wanted it louder to take it off!

but there is a metal rod on teh back were a hose goes on to....

heh.. well put that screw back in there and plug up the vacuum leak you just created.

should function like normal now.

is there or is there not a vacume hose supposed to be on the back

having a hose on that "metal tube" is not a vacuum leak...

put the line from the intake mainfold on the "metal tube"

put the screw back in the other hole.

now, it should work.

Ok done still sounds like ass,

teh guy who had it before me was horrible so, the line goin to teh bov front the manifold is on a divider and there is hose runnin off those that goes behind the the bak of teh engine on the right side and colapses untill you give the car gas.....

do you have a boost controller? that line that is on a "T" should either go to the boost controller, or NOT be there.

either way, the hks bov doesnt sound "good" until about 10 psi is going through it.

on my 97 eclispe I still have the plastic piping so when my SSQV opens it shakes a little bit and hits the heat shielding on the hood and that makes some noise, that could be what is happening to you?
