Need Help asap. MAF Issue

Im having some issues with my Talon, Its throwing a CEL for airflow malfunction, i believe its code p0012. I was running a stock 1g MAF before hand, and decided to switch to a GM MAF. The car would run fine on the 1g MAF, but when i switched over to the GM MAF it was throwing the code. I know the MAF is good, I also have the translator cord provided by ECMTuning to run the MAF, and my settings in DSMLink are set for a GM MAF. Im stumped know on ideas. The car would run stupid rich, it wont even make it to 3rd gear with out bogging out and shutting off.
Any Help is appreciated this is my DD and really need to figure out whats wrong Thanks.

Do you have the maf facing the correct direction airflow should be coming from? Have you done any maf corrections for airflow?

I do not have a gm maf setup, so my knowledge is limited.

Check the code with dsmlink maf if probably bad.

Im not the keenest on DSMLink but like stated above i'd doudle check for everything being hooked up right and connected right with the translator, Retreive the code and see if maybe in fact you do have a faulty MAF. And yeah any corrections made in Link for the new MAF?

Ive got the MAF facing the correct direction, I havent made any changes in Link yet. I think the ECU isnt getting a Signal from the MAF, or there is a short somewhere in the MAF Part of the Wiring Harness.
