I just replaced my ignition coil with a brand new stock one. In order to get the coil in there I had to take out the fuel rail. Once I got the old coil out I put the new one in and bolted it up, and put the fuel rail back in. (note the injectors came out with the fuel rail)
I checked twice all the vac lines to make sure they are hooked. I didnt see any lose lines. I also replaced the PCV valve as well and made sure that vac line was hooked up. I looked in my book the make sure the wires where in the correct order. They look like they are I started the car and it turned over no problem. It was idling high though around 1800 RPMS, I let it run for 2 mins giving it a few revs and it was still going to 1800 rpms. So I turned the car off checked my lines again didnt see any problems but I did smell gas around the fuel rail. I tried to get the car to fire up again but it just keep turning over and over like its not getting a spark or something. Any one ever replaced the ingnition coil or have any ideas?? I am stumped.

Well it is getting spark I tryed starting it at WOT. It just would make a sputering noise and wouldnt fire up the starter just keeps turning and turning make a sputering noise roughly every 1 to 2 sec. Going to try tomorrow start with starter fluid in the intake. It says in the book that once you take the fuel rail out you need to replaced the O rings on the fuel pressure regulator, and on the supply end of the hose's as well as the fuel injectors. I just put the old ones back on they looked in good shape. But I keep smelling gas I am starting to think that I am not getting any fuel pressure I checked the lines fuel does flow thru them as well as the rail.

Well I got it to turnover and run first I used some starter fluid and the car started to sputer some more but died and then just out of the blue my dad had a idea he started to suck and blow on the fuel presure vacum regulator hose. The small one at the end the the fuel presure regulator. While I tryed the start the car, and sure enough it fired right up. The engine was flooded the car smoked like crazy for 10 secs and stopped. My guess was the regulator was either closed or something was stuck in it and there for no fuel going threw the return line. The engine runs now even with out the aid of any outside help so hopely it stays fixed.
