I've used the search button. but it hasn't narrowed down possibilities. I've been working on a 92' gsx and I've been pretty bummed that I can't find out the problem to it seeming like it's only running 2 cylinders. Well I have replaced the plugs and wires. Plugs gapped at .028 and standard OEM wires. The car had old shitty wires on it before and caused it to miss on one of the cylinders due to a bad connection, and the ignition coil pack clicked more than a few times. I've noticed this is not good. Could it be the coil pack that's gone bad due to the bad old connection? Figured I'd might as well ask . I've went to advance, / autozone today and neither had them in stock. Going to try NAPA and Performance Mitsu:dsm: Tomorrow.

why don't you just test the coil first to see if it's bad or not?? that will save you some money if it ends up not being the problem. what are the symptoms the car is exhibiting?? does the engine idle really low and shake badly?? it could be several things causing these symptoms. CAS, CPS, your ecu could have leaky capacitors in it. but the ignition coil is a good place to start. just test it first so you're not buying parts for nothing.

Alright. Well I am about 75% sure this is what the problem is. I've heard that when hearing a clicking noise is bad and it DID come from the coil pack I heard it directly. SO I see one on ebay for 15 buck sooo i'm going to get it anyways :).I'll let you know what happens.

Also, the car Has thrown a code. I was wondering if anyone knew how to read 1g eclipses or where a guide is to. I know sometimes where ever the plug is you can hook up a volt meter. but let me know that way I can read it and figure exactly which code it is. Thanks!

you use a test light of buzzer to get the codes off a 1G. the ecu will either blink or buzz out the number of the code. try looking on vfaq, i'm sure there's a write up on it there.
