Hi everyone I havnt been on here for a while, been to busy trying to sell my 99 eclipse n/t because im trying to get this 97 gsx. It is in perfect condition tan leather and nice sound system. No scratches perfect paintjob and has 93k miles. Hes selling it for 4600, he knows nothing about the car, just that it has a turbo.

The problem it has is that the clutch fluid (pink oil like fluid) has a leak somewhere. It is located at the top right corner for those who have gsx. Is that a huge problem or what? My friend who test drove it said he felt the clutch a lil stiff at first, but the car was real nice and smooth, it probably has to do with the clutch fluid he said.

So any of you with a GSX what do you think, is it a good deal or what? Big problem or not? The car is in excellent shape as well.

That is a great deal IMHO. Although I'm not sure on the clutch fluid problem, it sounds like an easy fix though. I would make sure there is nothing else wrong with it, seems a bit cheap for a gsx, or maybe he really has no idea what he has!

Yea he really has no idea how much its really worth, my friend said its way faster than his 06 mustang.

Anyways he knows nothing about cars and wants to buy a pickup truck because he is the guys that cuts grass on the streets. He says he just fills up the clutch fluid, but doesnt he also have to bleed the line? Or do you just fill it, he said he just fills it up with the fluid, when he feels it going low.

About 4 posts down from the top, thunderskull has posted some things that may be causing it to leak, and a link to vfaq in order to fix it.
Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the link, my uncle who a mechanic was telling me all this, he said it a easy fix, so hopefully it is because when i buy the car ill be low on cash. Thing is the guy doesnt know about bleeding the line, so hopefully hell think the car broke and give it to me cheaper LOL.

Those are great to have around!! :) Hope everything goes well with the purchase and cya around in here:thumb:

Thanks have 1 more question since you own a gsx. Well maybe this is dumb question, but I hear alot about crankwalk on 95-97 eclipses. Is that really an issue I should worry about? Because I heard it part of the clutch being hard or stuck? So how would I know if it isnt just the clutch fluid, but also something to do with crankwalk? Thanks again. I gotta learn more about these gsx :)
