I just put in a 3" GM Maf into my car for the first time. I have the Link cable hooked up to the maf and to the stock harrness and I have the other end grounded.

I start the car to see whats going on as again first time running a maf other than stock... and nothing seems to be registering other than the mafraw..

Heres a log any help would be great...

Well, first thing you want to do is enable the idle switch operation and try to calibrate your TPS if it is off.

Next, I would disable idle air clamp since you just made the change to a 3" GM MAF and the frequencies are much different using a ECMlink cable vs. a stock MAF.

Next, what are your mods? List them here or in your profile. Why are you targeting a 1300rpm idle? Cams? If not, turn that down.

After you do that post another log.

I dont have a log atm but I can turn all that off as you suggested and it is as if it is still not getting signal to or from the ecu..

the idle is at 1300 due to the fact taht is where my idle usually runs around do to the t/b.. the tps is not being used as it is set and reading correctly...

mods are.. stock internals for now..
Holset h1e turbo
550cc soon to be 1200cc
hks turbo timer
hks exhaust
hsk bov ssqv
alum. Radiator dual fan
225 pump..
and ecmlink v3 full with now a non working 3" gm maf

only mods i can think of that would effect anything...

also i can plug my stock maf back in and the oc rocks back and forwarth like it should and all the sensors read.. the hz in maf, mafraw, airflow ect.

just with the GM its only showing the mafraw as in the log..

is there a way to even check the maf to make sure it is working with a multimeter?? Im gonna check the power and ground in the cable just to make sure its getten power... i doubt the cable is screwed.. just got it..

Let me ask this.. what will actually be logged with using a gm maf over a stock 2g maf? Id assume not everything will be logged the same??

What does this mean? If your car is idling around 1300 you have a problem. Try looking for boost leaks. Try here. Also, what do you mean the tps is not being used? I am confused here.

The fact that it works with your stock MAF suggests something is wrong with the sensor. Try this. Start a log with the sensor plugged in, then unplug it with the car running to see if it corrects it. If it does, look here or here. If neither of those work, suspect a bad MAF.

No, not really. You would have no way to determine if the output value is correct unless you had a flow bench or some type of test bed.

Everything should look the same but the MAFRaw frequencies will be different between a GM and a 2G

Sorry long day yesterday i guess... i hate valentines day..LOL cant remember when i posted a reply.. ANYWHO.. the TPS Adjustment isnt being used as it reads 0 at no peddle and 100 at 100% throttle..

Iv checkd for leaks.. I have a BBK T/b that likes to stick alittle when it gets warm... its either that or the ics itself... need to fix that part thou i know.. if i get on it it usually comes down to about 700 or so....

Thank you sir...

Ill try everything you suggested.. I hope its not the sensor.. I just bought the dang thing..LOL if it is the sensor hopefull the guy I bought it from will help render sending me a broken maf..LOL
