Ok let me start out by saying ive done some research on the turbo but keep comin up with different answers if anyone has any answers to my questions they will be greatly appreciated

First i am planning on installing a fp3065 on my 91 talon tsi here is the mod list first

sbr 1g intercooler w piping
greddy type s BOV
FP aluminum intake
3" TB exhaust no cat
slightly built motor (rods, pistons 8.8, valves, springs, retainers,)
HKS 272 cams
act 2600lb clutch w/ fidanza lightened flywheel
suspension work
brake work
and some other stuff

i plan on running anywhere from 21-24 lbs of boost on pump gas (94 octane)

questions...what kind of fuel settup should i go with i already have a walboro 255 not installed yet can i use that?? or should i run something bigger? what size injector should i run also ill be revving out to about 7.5k maybe 8k on the track?
Also does anyone have any dyno sheets of this turbo on pump? or approximate spool times of this turbo on pump at 22 psi or so? any of this or any other info or input would be greatly appreciate

Thanks

i think the walbro 255 should be good enough for your setup. i definetly think about getting no smaller then 750's i would get 850's so you can have room to grow with. because to be honest with that turbo your going to quickly want to turn the boost up pass 24 psi :D

i definetly recommend getting DSMLINK fo tuning unless you know how to install and use the software of AEM EMS. But if I were you I would definetly get DSMLINK over S-AFC

If you are installing a Walbro 255, better make sure it's the HP pump. The LP will NOT be able to keep up with this turbo. Also, the SMALLEST injector you should think about running is 850cc. I'm worried that my 850's won't be able to keep up with my 3065 once I try 35-40psi. Most 2.0L engines hit full boost around 4600-4800rpm. All of this info could EASILY be answered by picking up the phone and calling FP.

You're going to want some large injectors, 850cc or bigger. A high pressure 255 lph fuel pump, rewired of course, AFPR is a must as well. Might as well have a nice setup with -6an fuel lines as well. I don't know what your tranny looks like but a stock tranny isn't going to like this kind of power for long. Be thinking about a good rebuild. I would suggest getting rid of your AFC and going dsmlink or if you have the knowledge the AEM standalone.

Thanks for the info but im not gonna be runnin more than like 24 psi on pump from others ive talked to they said i can probably get away with 720cc, being that you have a 3065 with 850's do you know what your duty cycle % is? would it be wise to just get the 850's and not take the chance??

Thanks for all the info guys any extra input or personal experiences are appreciated!

My FP Green easily maxed out 660's at 25psi on pump gas. I wouldn't doubt that a 3065 would seriously tax some 720's @24psi. I wish I could comment on my 3065/880cc setup, but I have had nothing but problems all year. I know at 32psi, the 850's were only the hi 80% range. I haven't even tried to dial in the system, as I have ran into numerous fuel system problems (not the injectors), then bent valves. I haven't been able to muster more than 120mph out of it yet.

The SMALLEST I would get would be 850's.

ive had the 3065 w/ a walgrowl 255hp, w/ the 850 ball and disk inj.. the 850's will be FINE w/ the 3065.. but you will need to get a bigger pump if you plan on trying to make over 500hp. the walgrowl starts to peeter out around 500hp.. i called FP and asked Robert about the injectors and fuel pump.. and this is exactly what he told me..
