hey guys! i wasnt sure where to post this but ive decided that i want to sell my 95gst. its starting to die on me from problems of crankwalk. it has started to make a loud ass noise coming from around the t belt cover that comes with smoke. im guessing thats the crank. i was gonna drop in a rebuild 6 bolt motor in my 2g. i have the 6 bolt sitting in my garage with the gst. i wanted to know how much do you guys think i can get for the car as is with the 6 bolt being included but not installed? the car still has the 7 bolt installed. can you guys also tell me how much i can prolly get for my gst if the rebuild 6 bolt was installed?thanks.

A) thats not crankwalk, smoke has nothing to do with the crank movement having too much play. If the smoke is coming from the timing belt area are you sure it isn't something else? Whats with EVERYONE on the damn crankwalk kick lately? My headlights don't work, must be crankwalk, My tires are bald, must be crankwalk. CRANKWALK is *THE* RAREST of ALL DSM problems.

B) the price depends on location, I see people selling ESi Talons for $5,000 successfully around here. Not many people other than a person that wants a project car is going to want to purchase a car with a blown motor, put the 6-bolt on.

The 6-bolt won't increase your sale price either, Hell the motor is 3 years older than the car is.

I'd say if the car is in good condition, somewhere between 4K to 6K WITH the motor swapped in. Without the motor you are looking for 3K range, I mean honestly who wants a car with a blown motor?
