Need help on price of my car.

I love my gsx but there is so many problems that Im sick of

I know some of this sound cheesy, but most of the cars around me are some beater fwd talons that are rust buckets and spray painted some fancy colors.
here is a copy of my craigslist info, I want to move into the Jeep world because of my family/friends all do it, and I need something to haul my dirtbikes.

Car is one of the nicest I've seen around Akron, almost 4k invested (without labor) within the last 3 months!
car has 130k, and if it was going to have crankwalk it would have already happend, the car has been owned by DSM'ers and everything is done right!
Car is silver, it needs painted because of the 99 body swap, Complete and everythings clean! Grey leather interior, very clean 1 small hole in drivers seat.
Strut Towers were starting to rust, cut out rust welded in new pieces on top and bottom, duraglass, small amount of bondo then painted, they look amazing and i have atleast 20 pictures of the process to show its done right.This is an LSD (limited slip differental) in the rear (rare) and also the eprom ECU from factory (both only in 1995's)
currently running 16lbs on stock turbo(no shaft play what so ever) Always let the car run after driving it to let the oil cool the turbo, like a turbo timer would do, previous owner always did the same)
List of mods here-there is more im positive just cant think right now.(this is a basic mod list)
Strut bar adjustable( i have 2)
3" apexi exhaust and a brand new muffler(cut off, straight piped)
2.5 to 3" downpipe
hallman boost controller (+ makes boost higher, - makes it lower)
Real greddy type S bov not the ebay one shown in pictures.($200)
air fuel ratio (wideband) and boost gauge on a 2 pod pillar Auto meter gauges not junk
eibach pro kit 1 to 1.5 inch drop
kyb gas struts (non-adjustable)
new timing belt (gates) and new water pump and new balance shaft belt
(blue belt gates)
A.C.T. 2100 clutch with new street disc
\new clutch slave cylinder
road race engineering (RRC) 550cc injectors.
lightweight shockproof (blue bottle) in transfer case
\shockproof (red bottle) in differential
1/2 MT 90 and 1/2 lightweight shockproof (blue bottle) in transmission
aftermarket black house headlights and clear markers($130)
nightshaded back 3 section tailights($8)
K&N intake with cleaning stuff($150)
Huge FMIC and short route hard piping! not junk universal piping, its meant for this car.($650)
HiD's 15,000k($100)
99 style fog lights($120)
Brand new starter, battery,larger aluminum racing radiator with dual 12" fans on toggle, AC delete new power steering lines/fluid,Emissions delete/Vac delete, Hard pipe intake, Axis 7's 18" rims, Wrapped in BFG Drag radials G force.(325 a piece) like 50% tread, complete infinity system and amp(stock), 2 extra doors, extra skirts, extra bumpers and skirts extra set of stock rims on bald tires.Brand new brakes all around dual piston drilled and slotted up front with ceramic pads, rear has new calipers and pads that are new in box.
It needs paint and the remainder of the 99 body swap installed I have bumper/highrise/skirts(x2 different sets)

Looking to trade for any jeep wrangler with the 4.0 in it 5 spd preffered but autos fine, MUST HAVE CLEAN FRAME I DONT CARE IF ITS BEEN PATCHED, I DONT WANT IT!
possibly trade for a 2.5 if its nice and lifted done right for the 4.0 ill take stock.

Any pics? I would say like 4500-5000 I paid only 4700 for my 96 talon TSi AWD with 88,000 original miles and in damn near mint condition. Being in the Midwest with these cars just kills the value. Just what I have noticed.

You list a lot of things that arent really worth anything to anybody. Persosnally I probably wouldnt be intersted in it at all given the mismatched body that needs paint. I'd say $2500 theres not enought worthwhile parts to make up for the lack of body work/paint needed

The car just needs the bodywork and paint and it will be fine, but some of the stuff that is on that list was from the original list that I received from the guy I bought it from a few months back. Im currently on probationary member still so I cant post in classifieds, I have around $4-5k completely in the car and It does have potential, as far as mechanical it runs A1. Just needs somebody that has more time/patience than I do.

And yes Redlline synthetic or whatever its called, I Would go look but no lights in my shed and not %100 where it is

Sell the car for what you think it's worth only you really know what you need to get your jeep keep in mind what year jeep and if you wanna have a little extra money 4-5k is what i would ask i would love to see some pic, people are still looking for those awd good luck

Tough without pictures of course. And you'll have to consider all that excessive idle time wearing on the engine, etc from. "turbo timing" your water cooled turbo.

See thats just one of those things people have told me to do including the guy I got it from, I just want to get around 5k for it and be happy Theres alot of stuff that will go with it too, Ive always owned trucks and stuff just wanted something fun to drive and now it seems like the sponge that everybody said it would be . but here are some of when I first got the core support in and started on the 99 body swap, I still have the rear bumper to put on and the highrise, also I have 2 black doors for it. I might be getting 2 clean black fenders this week too. And it does have the fog light bezzels on now and door handles

and Ive tryed uploading these pics like 10 times and it will not work ill try again later.

Sounds like it just needs you to put its body together and then ready for paint.

Yeah I have seen yours , and Im talking about the talons that drive around here and some of the Eclipses there just rust buckets, theyll try and show off under the hood with a strut bar connected to nothing Or that theyre all riced out and spray painted , I love my car but it still has some electrical issues that I cannot figure out and i dont have the time or money to take it somewhere, same goes for paint.

Price varies, I think wherever there are not many they will be worth more than trying to sell it somewhere, where there are a lot for sale and cheaper. It all just depends. It's worth more in some places than others. You might get lucky and have someone throw done some serious cash for it.

Im still not sure i want to get rid of it, Ive been starting on some body work, I still cant find new clips for my skirts Does anybody know where I could get them like asap without shiping offline somewhere. If I could find out my electrical issue it wont leave my hands for awhile Im sure, Thanks for all of the responses! most of them were positive, I have almost 6k in it now and I just bought more for it today, and detailing the interior, and engine bay tomorrow.

It's hard to put a price on parts you put into it. Depends on how long you want to let it sit before someone come by to offer you money. I have a '98 GSX, 130k when I bought it. I paid $5000, came stock. I say you should be able to get anywhere from $3500-$4500.

Honestly if you put as much work into it as you say you have, why not keep it? DSMs in fair condition are hard to find in the first place, and sorry to say but all the $$$ you invested will only amount to about half of that to a person looking to buy. Another issue you may run into is the fact that most people who even know the true value of a DSM usually don't want a heavily modified car already due to the fact they want to put their own spin on it. IMO looking at your Craigslist ad, if I were wanting to buy it, I wouldn't pay more than $3,000. But then again you have parents who are dumb and want to get there kids a "cool" car and might go for $5k. Good luck though.

Yea I do want to keep it, if I can find this electrical stuff out it will not be going back on Craigslist. its just a never ending problem and I hate to drive it when 87 different thing DONT work....

Car looks like its at least 4 different colors. I would give maybe 2 grand for it just based on the fact it needs paint so terribly bad.
