Okay for doing this I know I'm a dumass but I need to fix it. I was taking out my roof to change the tan to a black well went out to the store to buy some materials. Well what I didn't pay attention to was how cloudy the sky was so yes not thinking I left it outside. Went to the store started walking back outside and yes of course rain at not little rain like hurricane rain about an inch on the ground within five minutes. So get home thinking I'll be coming home to a totally soaked and probably ruined roof. Nope. Couldn't find it. From what I gather the wind picked the dam thing up and sent on a nice little trip to god knows were. So in this I'm now without a roof I've been around to my local junk yards to look for another one but no such luck of course cause every eclipse I find it stripped down to nothing. So I need a roof. If anyone knows of a way to make my own or a place that manufactures factory parts or just something let me know cause right now I've got most of the car done. This is for the sunroof without overhead lighting just the open and close switch for the sunroof. Thanks for the assist.

i got a black roof on mine. its new, according to the person i bought it from. i want a tan one... make an offer on this one and i'll pull it off and ship it to you... :D

Hey if you can send me a picture of it so i can makesure that its the one i need that would be great thanks.

How new and what kind of shape is the black top in? I got a tan top on my car and the binding is starting to come out around the rear window .. other than that its in great shape.. i kinda want a black top but a new one starts around 800-900$ just for the top not installed.. how much would you take for black top?

Does Jo-Anne Fabrics stock it as "headliner" material or do they call it something else clothing related? Just curious cause i might go buy some in black. Also, what adhesive is recommended that will not lose it's stickyness after a year or so?

Yea, They refer to it as "Headliner Material" i do believe. If they look at you funny then ask them where their Vynl rolls are and it will be right next to it.

yea, be wary of most adhesives, people claim the best is 3m and I do believe them. But for how long is 3m the best?

here's what I would consider.

I would also be worried if there is foam inbetween the board, and the headliner. reason being is if you adhesive to foam, the foam will rip and fall apart under the weight of the material.

I did the headliner fix myself, nothing to it. I went to Jo-Ann but they didn't have a matching color, so I went to an auto upholstery shop (just a mom-and pop type shop) and the guy running the place sold me 6 square feet for 10 bucks. I also used "Heavy Duty" spray adhesive I bought from autozone instead of the 3M stuff. Looks really good, and saved a bunch of money. And yes the material is called "headliner". Thats what its been called everywhere I've gone.
