I have a 96 talon that is untuned right now. It idles good at 1100 +/- 100 with good numbers, but if I give it some throttle to make it stay at 2000 rpm. It will not maintain 2k it will bounce from 1500 to 2000 but if I give it more throttle to 3k it will maintain it. Any ideas why this is happening?

Sounds like a tps problem. It either needs to be adjusted or is bad. I would try to adjust it before replacing it. Pretty sure CCW means higher tps reading and CW is lower reading. If your idling @ 1100 rpm then its probably reading to high. Loosen the bolts just enough to be able to move the tps and adjust it to wear your car idles around 900 rpm +-50. Then tighten it back up and you should be good.
