:cry:banghead:Whats up every one i was wondering if any one had any helpfull tips about replaceing my clutch ive never done one by myself so any help wouldd be great thanx all.

I see you have 6 posts here and are in Idaho.
So, imagine it is cold thre, hope you can work inside.
I gave myself one day to tear it down.
One day to prep everything I would need and clean up
fix other things I found.
One day to re-assemble.

With days in between waiting for parts, getting the flywheel resurfaced, etc..

Sizes of sockets: 10, 12, 14, 17, 19.
Pry bar for axle, floor jack, jackstands, one extra jack stand to hold engine while trans was out.
You need a torque wrench and a breaker bar.
I used air wrench to get flywheel bolts off. Very tight.

Patience.
Spare car to drive while running around getting everything I neeed.

Found stock style clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, and alignment tool
in one handy box for about $140.

Local auto parts store offers this service for around $500.

I like to save money, I like to know it is done right.
I do it myself.

My car has cruise control , AC, everything under the hood working, all stock.
Some people have less stuff so it is easier to get at everything.

I wonder how hard people rate doing a clutch, on a scale of 1 to 10.
10 being the hardest. Maybe a clutch for me is about a 6.

Replacing the clutch is the easy part. Getting the AWD tranny back in, that sucks out-loud.

what sucks is wondering were all the extra bolts go jk seriously you shouldnt have extra bolts

I feel the warmth thanx all thats about what i thouight to i jusst nee a torque wrench got everything else thanx all.

:ohdamn:I was wondering someone told me there is a clip that holds my drive shafts in how do i get them out to pull my trans for clutch job yay i love being the noob. thanx all

Yes your right side will. The end of the shaft thats inside your trans has a metal clip around it it stays on the shaft. Take a prybar and pry (with caution use common sense) against case and axle shaft cup it will be tough but it will pop. The left side (drivers) does not have a clip its held by the hanger bearing thats bolted to the block.

Make sure you dont forget the back bolt through the engine block into the transmission (on firewall side above transfercase)

good luck its intimidating but easier than you think
