So, my clutch wouldn't allow me to shift last wednesday. I opened the hood and the master cylinder reservoir was empty. Oddly enough the clutch pedal felt fine but would not go in gear. I got the car home and changed the master and slave cylinder. Which was a pain in the ass to bleed. The problem is for the last month the car was making weird noises in gear while driving and u could feel the drivetrain having problems. I can start the car in reverse but it whines. Do I need a new pressure plate/ clutch and tob? Clutch was changed 2 years ago by me and had weird noises from the tob??? Now car won't go in gear. I installed one of those carbon metallic F1 racing clutches and a fidanza flywheel. The pressure plate weighed twice as much as the flywheel!! I also installed one of those extended slave cylinder rods. Did the extended rod kill my clutch????? I have read nothing but bad about them. Hoping to buy a 94 eclipse with the beastly 1.8L for $500 until I get time to fix the gst. Have all new suspension and control arms so the clutch won't be much extra work when i get to it!!!

honestly that could be a crap ton of issues, a few that I may know of to help.

first off these cars have a tricky system with the clutch. They have to be torqued exact or there is noises its just a fact.

I wouldnt worry about the noise so much as the fact that you have pressure yet there is no fluid in the reservoir

the pressure plate and flywheel can be the issue but since a month is about the right time for a messed up install to take effect when dealing with the clutch

if it was just a reservoir leak and its fixed and there is no pressure you just did the bleeding wrong. also check the play on the clutch pedal it may need a readjustment.

I suggest to re bleed the system, check the lines near the undercarriage for leaks and than if all else fails replace your clutch setup. I prefer for mine, which is right now more of a daily driver and a little racer to go stock on your flywheel, plate etc. fresh if possible or a resurface is ok too. new bolts all around. and also go with a standard exedy racing or an ACT racing clutch they are the finest for the DSMs in my own opinion. ACT has great ratings for our cars at a great price and Exedy is so bad ass which is what I use except i paid almost 400 for mine when it was set in done. let me know if the issues continue.

I would pull the trans, i bet you will find that there is a serous issue with the TOB, it could be seized up, and not allowing you to engage/disengage the clutch. This could have cause the seals in master or slave to blow out from to much pressure, but as jdub said i would definetly try to rebleed the system just in case it wasnt properly done the first time it can't hurt takes 10 min
