Hello, I recently upgraded my clutch and flywheel from stock to an ACT 2600, 6 puck disk, and lightened flywheel. My issue is the exact opposite of this thread:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dri...tch-fork-right-no-free-play-wisemen-help.html
My fork goes almost all the way to the pass. side, and I dont have very much play left for the slave cylindar to disengage the pp....

The PB is shimmed, the fork is not worn, when I installed the pp, the fingers 'flattened' out, what is my problem, LOL?!

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Will post pics when I get home to take them

what kind of throw out bearing did you use and are you sure you put the little clip on the right way? was the flywheel stepped? can you take the release fork and move it back and forth with your hand or is it stuck? The fingers on the pressure plate should go flat when the pressure plate is torqued down that is normal. sounds like either you got the wrong parts or forgot some thing either way its probably gonna have to come back apart.:banghead:

It sound like the step in your flywheel is wrong . IF the step is too low, it wont let you release the clutch. and flatten out the pp fingers to its maximum.

I know of a way to fix it but some people are against it. I did it and it works just fine.

the TOB, when I took the tranny off, came apart in 5 pcs, so I bought a new one. The flywheel and pp were resurfaced. The fork is not stuck, but seems like it has TOO much play. I havent driven it yet, nor have I reinstalled the slave, and bled the system, to see how the pedal feels, I guess thats my next step, thanks for the info, always appreciated!

Edit: Yes the TOB clips is intalled the right way, it will only go on one way correctly

What he meant was what brand of throw out bearing did you install. DSM's are more picky than most and really only like the factory TOB. The other mfg's TOB usually end up in pieces like the one you took off. So he was wondering if you used a Mitsubishi brand or OEM or someone else. Hint: buy the one that comes with diamond stars on it!

^^^LOL. If the fly wheel and the pressure plate were resurfaces, do you know how much they took off each? I know you shimmed the pivot ball but you may need to shim it more, if you know how much was taken off each "flywheel and pressure plate" you add those two numbers up and that should be the size of the shim you put in the trans.

Damn, IDK exactly how much was taken off:banghead:

And as far as the TOB goes, I did not get a Mitsu, it is OEM.
