My Turbo Spoools Very Loud Sound Of A New Turbo?

My turbo spools very loud, my dads friend it my be the bearings going out is that ture? My friends 50trim doesnt even spool as loud as mine.

the 14b that was on my car along time ago sounded like a semi turbo and after about a month the seals went out on it

You might have an exhaust leak. When everything's peachy on my car, you can barely hear the turbo, if at all. However, when my downpipe is loose agains the o2 housing, the spool is pretty loud.

yea my turbo is lowd, its lowder than my friend 50trim!

Make sure you have no leaks, a leak might give you sound that you might think is the turbo when in fact its not. If that does not apply and it truly is coming from the turbo, you might want to inspect it. If it's going bad, think of it as a positive thing, you get to finally upgrade that sorry excuse for a turbo. Just make sure you upgrade to at least a big16g. Just my recommendation.

Ive bought a 14b, im going to start upgradeing little buy little fuel, link ect.. then eventualy buy the 16g and just drop in and go

have you installed a bov lately?

when i installed my 1G bov, i had a leak at the bov gasket. it would flutter and make my turbo sound reallllly loud and wierd when i hit boost.

its like when people younger used to grab a blade of grass, hold it tight between fingers, put near mouth and blow having the vibrations make noise. my 1G bov gasket 'flutter' between the bov and hard pipe would do the same. a wierd kazoo like noise.

So what type of gasket should i use? I used a paper gasket that came with the BOV? Should I just tighten it up some more if I have that flutter noise? I was thinking that it was fluttering because the BOV spring is to tight to blow off at low boost.

Mine is pretty loud for a t25... i think i have some oil leaking or one of my seals. Just wondering how long can the turbo last like that.... like its not as serious because when i hit the has i see no smoke or anything. Who has the best deal on the 16g around here?

Yeah same thing happened to my T25. It was spooling loud as hell, next thing you know it blew, and now it's rattling, .

Same here. T25 spooled very loud, then about a year later it went. Installed my new 16g and done a boost leak test and I had leaks everywhere, guess I know what killed my t25 now!
