I drive a GVR4 and my tires seem to be screeching when i make u turns. Is that a sign my rear diff. is acting up?

Sorry, I was actually being serious about the second part. Its a common problem, its caused usually either by your center diff being welded (maybe the previous owner did it) or you center diff is just blown.

i have the same problem, my tires screech making 90* turns at 15, my tire pressures are all messed up, and i have 3 diff brands of tires on my car, so i think that cuases it

That's really not good for the drivetrain, I would get out there now and at least fix the tire pressures

here is another simple one, tires with too much treadware. My brothers tracker did it until he got his new tires and now he squeels no more.

But your center diff was either welded, or its broken.

How do you weld the diff? why? what does it do for the car?
why does it make the tiers screech at u turns?

i just got my car and it does the same thing...its at the shop right now getting 4 brand new tiers...so i haven't tried turning with em on yet. but i will soon. But if it still happens then i want info...on why it would be welded..or how i would know if its broken.
thanks.

Its usually used to allow people to get better AWD launches. Normally on a hard launch the front tires will spin, but by welding the center diff, it will cause all 4 wheels to spin evenly, or no spin at all depending on the launch. If you type "welded diff" in the search a LOT about this will come up. Here's a huge thread about welded diffs:
