When I was checking prices on tires, I was asked what rating I wanted, Z,H, etc. I have never heard of that before.(never shopped for tires either).

What rating should I get for a daily driver n/t that will most likely never go past 120MPH?

Also, can someone recommend a good place to shop at in the Cincinnati area? I'm looking to save money, but I don't want to be ripped off with junk rubber or 41,251,374 extra fees.

P.S. I need these tires by Christmas, my tires are completely shot. I looked on the classifieds, but if anyone here has a set of 4 in decent shape let me know and we can talk.

H rated tires are good up to 131 mph, you will be fine with those. As far as what else to look for, high treadwear is always a plus. Try www.tirerack.com for prices and reviews.

Depends on your budget, how long are you going to keep this car?

Pirelli P3000 tires have an 85,000 mile warranty.

Also Continental Extreme Contact tires have a long life.

Both of those are all season tires. Or are you looking at getting performance tires (those wear faster BTW)?

Your new tire speed rating should match or exceed the stockers'.

It's for safety reasons and some tire places will not install anything lower in rating than the one you have.

For a turbo, i think it's V-rated. I got Z-rated on mine now after I did a +1 size.

For a daily driver, get something that has a tire wear of 300 or better so it will last you longer. My Yokohamas lasted me over 30,000 miles in my GSX, the cheaper Kumhos were bad at 12,000 already.

Dont skimp on tires, you get what you pay for. Im gonna try Avon Tyres next time on my GSX.
