My taillights and gauges dont work? Just got car?

hey, as some of you may have seen, I just picked up this car yesterday....

I trailered it home and everything was fine.

As I was backing it off the trailer, I hit the end of the ramp just barely, and I mean just barely (like any bump in the road) jerked the car... and the gauges shut off, along with the taillights.

the brake lights work, the headlights work, I have no taillights nor gauges....

I blew the fuse for the taillight, so i put a new one in, still nothing

As you may see i have those non-stock tails and speedhut.com gauges (i gotta remove this crap)

any ideas or suggestions would appreciated!!!

I towed it through about 10 hrs of rain and snow, was thinking something got wet that isnt supposed to???

Also, My car has an aftermarket viper alarm system, ever since the gauges and tails quit working, none of the lights flash when you lock or unlock the car!!!

I bet the alarm was poorly installed and when you hit the bump coming down the ramp, one of the connections on the alarm to the lights came apart. I am an car audio/alarm installer, and by the information you gave thats what it sounds like it would be. Check all the all the wires that are run from the alarm. If you need help locating the parking light and/or headlight wires, just ask and i can tell you what color they are and where they are located. Hope that helps. Good luck!

First check to make sure the new fuse you put in didn't blow as well. Is there an aftermarket stereo in the car? I ask because if the illumination wire is grounded it will cause the TAIL fuse to short repeatedly. If not, your problem is most likely related to the aftermarket alarm, like Eclipse99RS said, start following the wires from the control unit on the alarm and look for a loose wire or a bad connection.
