Just got my car and have some questions!

OK just got my 90 tsi awd 5 speed friday and i'm looking to order a maft setup. I was curious if the gen II coupled with an AEM uego would solve any future tuning problems or should i just get the base Maf Translator??

My car already has a 16G, 2nd gen exhaust mani, egt gauge, hardwired MKIV supra fuel pump and manual boost controller. Also a full 2.5" custom exhaust including the downpipe.

I'm ordering a boost gauge but the stock one is reading about 10-11 psi max right now but she runs strong as hell. Should I turn it up a bit?

Also about the shifter... Is it worth getting the JNZ or is there a cheaper (less than 170) solution? Also should I add in the symborskie bushings? anything else I need to add?

Do not turn your boost up without a boost gauge. The stock gauge will not tell your true boost level.

deff go woth maft genII because it has a really more tuning feature then the older maft...... It even has better tune capabilities ,then SAFCII

IS it really better than the SAFC 2?? The thing that intrigued me the most is that when you combine it with a 5 volt output A/F sensor you can set your a/f ratio you want at WOT and it'll automatically correct if it gets too lean or rich with sounds pretty damn easy for a noob like me.

I'm just getting back into the DSM world. I have a 95 TSi fwd auto back about 5 years ago with a few small mods and blew the head thanks to a timing belt. I then let a let do a 6 bolt swap for me and he totally FUBAR'ed the wiring anywhere imaginable and was simply beyond repair as nobody wanted to mess with it which I couldnt blame them. So it never ran really again

Boost 15-16 psi you should be fine with the mods you have now.

400hp would be awesome but i'm taking baby steps with this one to make sure i dont blow her up. This is just my dd for now to keep miles off my Lexus and will slowly become the strip/weekend bruiser
