gauges dont work!!!

ok so my oil pressure gauge isnt working!! it worked when we picked it up. could it be because the sending unit or wire is caked in oil???? and if my car is cold ( -5 or colder ) my tach and speedo dont work and once it warms up they are fine WTF is going on!!!!

Are you sure its plugged into the oil housing? They seem to come loose real easy,

Seems like your speedo could be on its way out, they usually start acting up differently just before they fail, usually the biggest sign is that they work sometimes then other times they jump around..

i doubt its on it way out this car only has 185xxxkm on it...??? is it possible to just change the speedo and oil pressure gauge??? or would it be cheaper just to go with a whole new speedo???

ive seen speed sensors go out way before 185kmiles...

To check for the oil pressure gauge, get under the car and locate the oil filter housing, there will be two differnt sensors connected at two spots, make sure they're both plugged in,

I had that problem before, and it was due to the kid who had it before me had indiglo overlays, and when he took them out, he pushed the needle down too hard. I took it off, and pushed it gently back in place, and all was fine after that.

ok so i think i figured out the oil pressure i believe it just unplugged from the conector so that will be an easy fix. but im still confused with the rpm
