I bought this off of tuners from a member that was close by me for 2k. I plan on keeping this simple with cleaning it up, small 16g with supporting mods, and even a few other things that I might decide on. Anything you think I should do, let me know your opinions. Here are some pics-

I hated the Konig Unknown rims so much on this dsm I couldnt take it, plus the tires were finished. I traded a member (Silver99GSX) on here for some stock chrome gst rims with new tires. You could compare them in the first pic.

Plus I had these euro type tail-lights which I took off the next night, smh! If you want them shoot me an offer

Nice! What year is it? I recently got a pretty clean 97 gst spyder.

It.s a 1998. I only got it since I keep running into small issues with my gsx build and the top comes down :p

The oil-pan on the car couldnt be trusted, so I got a new OEM one. Just look at the difference, no good. I also had to replace the dipstick tube since I knew the dipstick was stuck inside and I got a new oil drainer so the huge dent in the oil pan might of damaged the one that was already there.

You could see how far the dent in the oilpan went.

Man that sucks about the oil pan but if there's that much rust on the oil pan you should check the strut towers and frame rails to see what else could be hiding you know, she looks sooo much better with the stock chrome GS-T wheels=) just beautiful. GOOD LUCK MAN

Thank you, the stock chrome wheels are 100x's better. I ordered some new suspension that will be getting put in soon. I could check than.

The VC was leaking and I know better from my first DSM to drive around with a leaking VC. Caught fire under the hood on my first Dsm bc of it so first things first. Shaved VC with new gaskets, new spark plugs and wires.

Some bolt ons, k&n filter with maf adapter, FP rec intake and couplers, jmf spark plug cover.

I have a 97 spyder awd converted and pretty heavily modded. Car still needs some tweaking but it's coming along nicely.
It's crazy how much of a difference a clean set of rims make. Your heat shields are looking fairly rusty. I would get some heat paint, buff them up and paint them. Not sure exactly what kind of paint would work though. It's just a thought. The plug cover is clean, I like it. I would consider cutting out the lip in the bumper and getting a front mount. They make a huge difference. I didn't notice any interior pictures, what gauges do you have?

The rims did fix the look of the car a lot. Im gonna throw the heat shield away and get a polished one. The bumper lip is going to be cut out when I change my headlights and Im waiting on VRSpeed to get more FMICs in stock. I have a boost gauge installed. I will get some interior pics up soon.

I would like to convert this to AWD like you did, but I have a 99 GSX storked and a Crazy 1g TSI.

def 100x better with the chrome rims i hate black rims just not appealing. kinda like the eruo tails tho. i love a project.

didnt think you could convert a spyder to all wheel drive because it didnt have the tunnel for the rear drive shaft. just interested thought i read that somewhere on here.

Put the boost gauge in and it is only at 5psi. Doesn't feel right when I'm driving since I got the GST.

I got all that from JNZTuning, I paid $100 for the VC itself, shaved, and coated. I forgot what I paid for the rest.

I was going to get the magnus, but after some reading about it, i changed my mind some had problems. Nice samco hoses, and rotors.

I understand about the "some" with problems by not wanting to get it. I installed the Samco hoses, looks nice. My radiator fluid was nasty, smh. Will be changing it again in another week. The rotors was a must since the other owner had warped the ones he had.

One of the first things I bought for this GST was a 1g BOV, I will be putting that in this week, we going to install it later on but I guess it wouldnt hurt now. Also my small 16g came in. I want to install the 16g but I still need to order a walbro 190 and rewire it. Also would like to get a VRSpeed intercooler when they come into stock. So until than, I would slowly do other things and buy what I need for the 16g install.
