Hey guys I have a 90 eclipse N/T 2.0 ...for quite a few months now my car would randomly start to bog a little here and there. However I asked around and no one could really tell me what the problem was so I just kinda let it off because it always was just little bogs for a few seconds here and there then it would go away. Well last night it was bogging really bad while I was driving (to the point where I had to barely touch on the gas or it would start bogging real bad. Then when I got to my friends house i let it sit at idle and the idle just started bouncing up and down and then kept stalling. I turned the car off and let it sit for like a minute. Turned it back on and it was fine. The rest of the night it just did its normal small bog here and there. Can someone please help me? I know I'm not really descriptive with the bogging but thats the only way I can explain it. Thanks guys.

Start simple, check for vacuum leaks (which could account for idle surge and poor running). Also pull plugs to not only check their condition but get some idea if you're running rich, etc. It could be alot of things but these are very easy to check.

check your maf and make sure your injector plugs are good. my 93 nt started bogging when my injector wiring screwed up. any cel? what is your idle at?

Sorry for not responding for awhile. But anyways how can you tell if the injector plugs are good or not? Also I'm a major newb so where would I check for vacuum leaks at? My acceleration is fine whenever the car isn't bogging. Whenever it does start to bog though I have to down shift to get any acceleration and to stop the bogging. My idle, when the car is running normally is at around 900 RPMs. And what am I checking on my MAF sensor? To see if it's fried?

Also, sometimes I have to turn the car off and let it sit for about five minutes. Then it's usually fine for a little while.
