So I spent all night searching and couldn't find a straight answer, i recently pulled the motor out of my GST replaced the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, arp head studs and deleted the EGR. Now it'll fire right up run ok for about 15-30 seconds and start to miss really bad. If I give it a little gas and hold it at 1100rpm it smooths out but still has a little miss. It seems to have normal throttle response. I'm running out of ideas as far as what to check on it. I'm not getting a CEL or anything. The timing is on

I did the EGR delete according to a diagram I found on here so I know thats right. the EGR valve is still connected to the intake manifold. The block off plate should be here today or tomorrow. I capped all the vacuum ports on the EGR valve.

Im starting to think its in the ignition somewhere. The plugs are fouled but not too bad, gonna pick up some new ones today. I tested the Ohm's of the plug wires they where all between 4.5 and 5.5, not sure if thats good or bad but i assume its ok because they where all so close. Also the brackets for the coil pack and the resistor looked like crap so i spray painted them. I sanded the back of the resistor bracket when i saw that it had a metal back to it.

That's a very helpful link, but its not my problem. I'll look in to it tonight but its not the symptoms my car has. It kinda sounds like a cammed V8. Gonna knock out a compression/leak down test tonight but I'm sure it'll come back good. Also gonna throw some new plugs in it and see if that helps any. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for the help

did you get your plugwires in the right order? because what you are discribing sounds like your fireing order is off, order is 4123
