Couldn't stand the all grey interior in my GS-T :notgood: .. So I decided to give the dupi-color plastic/vinyl paint a try and some carpet wrapped panels.. Let me know what you think... Paint came out really well, but no idea how durable it will be down the road.. door panel is not completed i still have to hit it with the black plastic/vinyl paint.. :shhh:

the top right part of mine is going to be wrapped in suede to match my evo 9 recaros, i have teh black leather door though.

dash looks alot better though, ya still need a shift knob LOL

haha already taken car of ya i got a skunk2 knob for it that i had from my hatch back in the day... when i got the car the shifter was cut down and had a cheap autozone knob on it so i drilled it stuck a stud in and welded it... i hate those set screw ones always spinning drives me nuts... screw on ones with a lock nut are def the way to go

I blacked out all of my panels in my car, front rear, ect. I used the duplicolor stuff. It stuck really well even to the vinyl. Certain things stuck better then others. The center consol held up to scratches really well, you could never see the gray underneath but the texture is more rough on the upper part of the console by the cigarette lighter. Im willing to bet if you sanded all of your panels with a high grit that the duplicolor would not scratch as easy. Just a thought. I did end up finding an all black and tan interior which i love so my panels have since been replaced. I did dye the carpet with the walmart RIT dye they sell in the laundry section and it held up really well. Its still black even after the sun abuse but i use like 6 packs of wet and dry dye. I plan on doing this to my supra now.

Did the same to my old 95 awd.. But the door panels scratched over time! And dash faded a lil.. I got so mad at it, I tossed it when I came across a 99 gst part out and stripped every interior part :p good luck tho.

Contrast always makes these interiors look better. Black instead of tan carpet in my GSX really helps my tan leather stand out more

I've been looking to recolor my interior as well. I can't decide if I want to go with a black and tan or throw some splashes of blue suede around STi style. How's the dye holding up?

Beer, tea, 2 packs of smokes, and an ashtray..Minus the tea, I bet that looks familiar to many of us.

I like it.

I'm doing black vinal wrapping right now.Damm contact cement and vinal do not mix.Now I'll have to pay full price for 2 yards of vinal.:(
