So every morning I go out to start my car and let it warm up I notice that my muffler is spitting (so to speak). I do have 272 cams, with dsmlink and not tune. could that be it.

Spitting water? Thats normal, the cat turn co2 and oxygen into co and water. When its warm the water evaporates.

I would diffidently have to say that would be your cause... But mine does it a little also but thats only for the first minute or so.. Look up on youtube video of our car idling( find one with cams like urs) and see if its the same... But I would say yes

Cool. I just dont want it to be a big thing. I have seen a couple of vids and it looks about the same, like I said as long as it is nothing big then great.

A catalytic converter has the power to create hydrogen out of nothing? Cool. Of course, that a cat is also converting relatively harmless CO2 into very dangerous CO (in your world, at least) probably makes its ability to create hydrogen from nothing not really worth it.

(In case that was too subtle for you: you clearly have no clue what a cat does, so please be quiet.)

Water is a byproduct of burning fuel. So is CO₂, CO, and a bunch of minor compounds made of nitrogen. Nothing of it has anything to do with the catalytic converter. The cat is simply a catalyst. It causes any extra fuel to react with the air. It does not create some magical burning process that creates different byproducts than combustion in the engine, therefore a cat does not cause there to be extra CO compared to anything else. It spits a lot in the morning because the exhaust is very cold and the water vapor condenses more than when the exhaust is warmer during the day, along with the leftover condensation from the day before.
