my ecu keeps smoking/getting hot

I recently got an engine swap done from my mechanic and he switch over the old engine harness which was perfectly fine until the engine swap and now the car can idle but the ecu gets super hot and starts to smoke, I think its getting shorted out somewhere but I don't know where to start, anyone have any advice for me ?! Thank you

I got a spare ECU I could sell you. It's for a 95

Start with checking all your grounds and hook ups from the harness to the ecu . You might come across a weak ground that you can fix or a wire thats misplaced i would start there hope this helps burtha .

it was the isc shorting out the ecu, thanks for the help[DOUBLEPOST=1415389544][/DOUBLEPOST]i cut the wires going into the ecu , drives fine without it
