My door gets stuck everytime i close it, the only way i can open it is if i left it up and pull really hard, eventually im gonna break the handle doing it i could already tell. Anyone know any fixes to this?

Probably needs new hinges, its a really common problem on old muscle cars with really long heavy doors. Over time the hinges start to sag, and you have to pick up on the door at the other end to get them to open/close. Could also be the metal the hinge is attached to flexing though. Open the door, and try picking up on it a little and seeing what/where the flex is.

You may be able to get by just by replacing the pin that connects the two hinges. Best bet though is to just get a new hinge.

I just fixed this issue on my driver side door. My door was doing same thing eventually will stop working even if you pull up on door. I going post pic later on. But what I did was rig it. Take door panel off remove sticky plastic off door. Not the whole thing just half of it. Outter part to middle door. Loosen the three torch screw from the door lock. Lock peace that attaches to lock hinge. Move system down on door stick a screw with ancher or screw with nut. This gets rid of the slack that the rod has. What happen is the rod not pushing down on lock down enough to disengage the lock. The screw is not a professional fix but been working for the three months flawlessly for me. Screw with ancher insert or not because if you don't vibration from slamming door will knock screw out

What mustracetsi just described is the result of a too heavy spring. Either buy a new handle and mod the spring or mod the current and bend the actuating tab back in place. The actauting tab is now bent too far upward so the rod now barely moves the lock. So a common fix is to take up the slack with a screw or whatever.

I had the same problem on my 97 eclipse. I did exactly what mustracetsi explained way before reading this. I have no issues with my door now. I use to have to push on my door and pull the handle at the same time. Now after doing as descibed above it opens everytime as it should
