This is a very strange problem that, recently, has become chronic. When I try to lock my drivers side door manually, both doors lock or unlock like normal. However, when I try to unlock my passenger side door, I hear the doors try to lock and then they quickly click back to unlock. I've tried lots of experiments with unlocking/locking from inside or outside of the car and trading off using my Viper Alarm system key pad. At one point I had the door locks going opposite of each other (1 would lock, the other unlock). No matter what combination, however, when trying from inside or outside on the passenger door it just clicks back, like its getting stuck on something. Thats all the info I have, maybe somebody knows what it is. Also I notice that it looks like the driver side door lock is whats getting stuck on something, like the mechanism doesn't have enough power to move it, but if I use my key or my hand I can force it over.

Please help!

Have you tried dropping the door panels and seeing if there is some Jerry-rigged speaker wire, Dynamat or the door's vapor barrior getting in the way of the lock mechanism? :dsm:

I just bought a 95 talon TSI and i have the same type of problem. If i lock the drivers side door i have a tough time keeping it locked and when i try to unlock with the key it wont do anything...i have to get in from the passenger side and I have to open the door fast or it lock right away on its own. If i reach over and force the drivers side open it is fine. Im thinking that maybe somthin is jammed in the locking mechanism cause i dont think it did this when i first bought it and that was only a day ago. Could be somthing bouncing around in there. I will pull the door panel off and check it out. If i find somthin ill let ya know.

Door Lock Solenoids....check them and replace them. I have the same problem with my door lock solenoid being bad with my aftermarket alarm. Not sure why this happens, but it happens with 2g's more than 1gs but it has those rare occasions with 1g's. For some reason the relays stop clicking over when they are supposed to. Door relays for 2g's are in the back behind the drivers side rear speaker panel and behind the radio.

oh, im not sure where the 1g's solenoids are
