went to the track today unfourtunatly they were only runnin the 1/8th (some bracket racing thing was going on). it was my first time ever to the track and i only had the car for about 1 month (holy shit i bought it 1 month ago today, hows that for an annversery(sp?) present ;) ) any way down to the times my best run was a 9.5xx not sure about the mph 9my friend has the slip. but my second best was a 9.773 @ 73.611mph and my 60' was 2.365, and on nearly all my runs i spun through 1st and 2nd (BADDDD wheel hop too :( ) since ive never run at the track could someone enlighten me ABOUT how fast the 1/4 might be, i hopefully will be going next thursday for test and tune night then i can run the 1/4, but i was just wondering how good/bad/normal that is...thx

its at the kinston dragway (NC) if anybody wants to go, every thursday night. :dsm:

If im not mistaken I think thats around the low 14's i the quarter, maybe 13's. Im not to up to date in the 1/8th mile running. Sounds like you had a good time. Keep racing on the track, not the street

This run would have probly netted ....

1/4mile [email protected] 1/8mile [email protected] 60' 2.318 nuttypboy 97 Eclipse GST Stock

That sounds like a good run if we had the rest of the results it could be better evaluated.

These 2 are the closest to what you gave us to go from. That is pretty good for a stock setup. Sounds like consistant 14.9-15.0 if you can control it. :thumb:

cool i was hoping i could run at least high 14's on a "stock" set up (BOV, Free mods, air filter). and it looks like i should be able to do it...hopefully. well find out next thursday :thumb:

anyone else have problems spining through 1st and 2nd? im scared i might brake an axel  ......Damn wheel hop

ya know after you go to the track street racing isnt much fun anymore :| wierd

Hahaha slicks, i wish i had some

Feather it (throttle) more and stop hopping. It can be done. Learn it abit more. I have NEVER wheel hopped my GST. Even with the stock FWD tranny and the 20g.

A 14.7 on a GST with those mods is doable aswell. Pick yourself up a MBC and turn it to 17psi for track fun. Also get a logger to see what is going on.

14.7 in a basically stock GST??? You must have been on slicks.

No not really, maybe a 14.2-.5 would be on slicks. I ran 14.9@95mph BONE stock on 205 stock all seasons and that was at 9psi WOT. If I can run 14.9@95mph then a gst with the same driver and normal boost(10-12psi) 14.7 wouldnt be a hard task at all.....its all in the driving. You need to know how to drive the car beforwe you race the car.

My buddy ran his stock GST 14.8, and my other freind ran his 96 TSI AWD 14.5 stock.

ive gots a MBC now, and im wondering if any of you guys can help me out on this...when it was stock it would spike to 15psi and hold around 10/11psi (BCS removed) then after i got the MBC installed i set it to its lightest setting and it spikes to 18-20psi but falls down to 12-14psi, is that normal? i just got back from crusing around and i played around with the MBC and boosts to 20-21psi and it holds 19 for a little while (longer than i wanted) and it eventually falls down to 12-13psi, but it sure as hell feals alot stronger, but i know i got the turn the boost down :( for safty purposes....anyway i was just wondering if its souposed to spike or is it just souposed to hold where its set at and not spike at all.thx.
