knowing that there is nothing cooler in the DSM community than having a cold-air intake, i fabbed up a little sheetmetal box in cunjunction with a custom intake pipe.
in persuit of achieving the coldest air to feed my "tired but not dead" 14b, i started a little project:
-the intake pipe is a 3" custom job done by a local muffler shop with a mandrel press, a basic K&N filter on the end.
-took the airsaw to the SMIC hole
-bought a $9 sheet of galvanized metal at home depot. i spent a good amount of time cutting out cardboard mockups. eventually i got this, and skirted them with some vacuum lines, and added all important, whorespower adding decals for flavor.
i also ordered a heat reflecting sleeve to slide over my intake pipe to complete the functionality.
