My clutch pedal is really weak and goes to the floor. I can't switch into any gears. When I try, the car moves forward a lil and idle starts to decline. no movement in reverse. Flat pavement parking lot. Any suggestions?

Master or slave cylinder is bad. Attempt to bleed it, and see if you can see either one of them leaking. The slave tends to leak around the cylinder that pushes the rod. pull the dust boot off and see if you see it leaking. For the master cylinder listen for air/pressure escaping when the clutch pedal is pressed.

Where are all these parts located? Can you give me any pics? I am a novice at best..brakes,batteries, alternators stuff like that I can do. I just got this car a week ago, and it has been sitting since cause I didn't know what to do first.. I drove it to my place and it worked fine.

An easy way to check if the master is leaking is actually look into the clutch master cylinder reservoir and see if there's fluid, it's located in the top right of your engine bay, the cap says like nabco or something like that. If that's empty, check your drivers side carpet for any fluid, that's where my master leaked, if thats dry check your slave cylinder like he had mentioned. The master really isn't hard to change, just gotta make sure that you bleed it properly and adjust the clutch pedal correctly afterwards.

Just saw your car is NA, it should be similar to what I said but may differ slightly since mine's 4g63

The master cylinder is on the driver side right below the windshield under the hood. The slave cylinder is in the front of the car on the driver side. Pop the hood and look down, you'll see it mounted to the motor up against the tranny. Both are easy to change. If you've done brakes bleeding the slave is the same concept as bleeding a caliper.

Same problem here. Clutch pedal would drop the the floor and not come back. I recommend you bleed your slave cylinder, it is the easiest thing to do, and its free! It is located right under the block and can be identified by a black boot. requires a 10mm wrench

My buddy pumped it up and was able to get it moving. The clutch master cylinder was completely empty. Will check for leak. it's in his garage now...

once you get some fluid and bleed it out check to make sure you didnt damage the clutch or possibly the tranny or throwout bearing while trying to force it in gear without brake fluid. Same thing happened to me and i desperately tried to get it in gear since i was late for work but had no fluid. I didnt know anything about manuals and never checked the reservoir. After i got fluid in it everything ran fine except a loud grinding noise which i thought was the clutch. I replaced the clutch and never changed the bearing which caused the tranny to damage over time and i ended up replacing all these parts just from simple fluid problem so im speaking from a learning experience.

95>>> Thx. I ended up just replacing the slave and the master. They were cheap from RockAuto.
