I let my car warm up and forgot to plug the o2 sensor in. At idle my afr is 12.6 pretty constantly. The car idles perfect. The check engine light doesnt come on. I plugged the o2 sensor in and not difference. I think maybe im in open loop the whole time where im running rich. I do not have any boost leaks and 25 miles on a rebuilt motor with .20 over wiscco pistons that are a little higher compression. I have a street ported head that i did myself. at WOT im at exactly 10.3 afr. What could this mean? My temp gauges goes up to 3/4s and the radiator fan still cuts on. Since it got warmer it seems like the temp of the motor gets higher.

any ideas??

With no front o2 it will not go into closed loop. That seems pig factory rich at WOT, nothing unusual there.

As for heat, you do not want to run hot on a rebuild. I would check the thermostat, that's always what gets me.

i don't think your car will go into closed loop with out an o2 sensor and may take a little time for it to go back into closed loop after you plug it back in.

personally i don't like the fact that the temp gauge goes 3/4s up. does it do this everytime?
do you have the proper thermostat installed?

i changed the tstat once already and same thing. You think maybe it doesnt heat up is because i have a koyo aluminum radiator to keep it really cold? it suprises me that the radiator fan turns on.

get a real guage. mine said the same thing and it was the factory gauge it didnt work for crap
