anyone ??? or can a mod put it where ill get ppl to reply:beatentodeath:

Did you ever test the MDP sensor like we talked about?? Since you were throwing a code, that would be the obvious first place to start. It is possible the fuel pump could be getting hot and restricting the output flow, but it's unlikely unless your pump is old and worn out. If you do have an AFPR check your fuel pressure like stated before. It should be set at 43 psi for stock settings. If you are losing pressure after the pump runs for a few minutes pull out your rear lower seat and feel of the wiring. Depending on how your Walbro was wired, you could need a larger power lead. A Walbro 255 and 190 should have a 10 ga. power lead. If you're not running a larger than stock power lead then I guess it's a possibility that could be your problem. And yes, the fuel pump on a 2G dsm is not too fun to work with.

If you haven't tested that MDP sensor yet, do it. Also, if you want to borrow an ECU pm me your address. I'll let you -borrow- one, as long as it's returned.

It's possible you could have a CAS or CPS going out. But it's also very possible the MDP sensor could cause that same thing. Are you getting any codes other than the MDP sensor code?? I would think you would be getting a PO300 with the symtoms you're getting. Post this on your --- from blake

agreed at 1500 it makes a clicking like its jumping spark except louder . but im pretty sure the fuel pump is done , b/c after it starts to sputter anmd such the fuel pump goes from a growl rumble to a high pitched loud as crap whine

ahh and nope just that sensor and an o2 other than that it was all clear.

my dad wants to replace the fuel pump so even tho i said idk im gonna , b/c if that doesnt work he buys the next part LOL still dont get how when the pump whines and car sputters if i shut it off and on it runs ok for 30 seconds or so then whines again

Ok, just for the sake of agreeing. Just say your fuel pump is going down. You said your dad got it to run at 2.5k for 10 minutes without a problem. I'm not saying it's not the fuel pump, but if it was it would be dead by now. The pump isn't gonna work crappy one day then work correctly the next. It might do that for the first few days but it would go completely dead pretty quickly. The only way to check the pump correctly would be with a fuel pressure guage to see how much constant pressure you're getting. Before you just go ahead and swap the pump or install an AFPR and guage you might at least consider swapping the fuel filter. Fuel filters can stop up and cause the pump to appear to be going down. If you don't want to swap it, at least take it off the car and dump it upside down and shake it until all the fuel is out of it. Post back whether most of the fuel in the bottom of the filter is solid black or not. That would tell me a lot.

I'll still get my spare ecu sent out to you tomorrow if you want, so you can try it as well.

yea i replaced the filter , first idea i had , but it goes from a nice run to a popping horrid yell so that was my idea there , that or the fact the fpr might be done , but my dad wants the fuel pump so im going to do that so that hell help the payments. on parts. but you dont think im correct i take it ?

o btw he idled it and ran 2.5k for 3 minutes or so which is one min to him hes old
