Hey,

I got my car back a few days ago from Slowboy Racing. They had it for a couple weeks doing some work to it.

When I first called SBR a little over a month ago I talked to Mark and he has been more then helpful answering all my questions and helping me choose what mods to get for the goals I had. Even before SBR had my car, I asked a whole bunch of questions and Mark was on top of it and answered every single one of my questions and was very polite and nice.

I had a nice list of mods I wanted to get done by SBR and had my install date.
Dropped the car off at SBR...met some of the people who worked there and they all are very nice and professional. Mark showed me my turbo and other mods they were going to install and of course answered all my questions again.

A couple weeks later...my car was finally done! Mark kept me updated with the work on my car and told me how everything was going. I went to pick it up. Mark and everyone else there was helpful and very nice. Saw my car and it looked awesome but the main thing was how did it drive and how much power did it have. I took it for a little spin and wow! The car is so smooth and extremely fast. It was exactly what I wanted! Mark showed me the dyno of it...318hp with the MBC set at 19-20psi. The car hauls...it has mad top end power! And best of all...its so smooth.

I met Mike for a couple minutes, he asked me how I liked the car and I told him it was awesome and 10x better then I thought it would be and it def is! The car is just insane...I'm so happy I had SBR do the work to it. They did an amazing job with the car and everything turned out awesome. SBR has my business for life! Mark and everyone else there are some of the best in the business and I couldnt imagine myself going anywhere else. Some of the best customer service, awesome work, and great prices-what else could you ask for. If you ever need to get anything done to your dsm...SBR should be on top of the list....Thats how happy I am with them.

Anyways heres some of the actual speed mods they did:
SBR Td05h 20g
Comp Cams 101200
AEM Cam Gears
02 w/dump
SBR FMIC
AFC II
650s
Walbro 255
GM MAF w/1g Translator
ACT 2600 + ACT Flywheel
BM LSD
They also installed KYB GR2 shocks and Eibach Springs
And dyno-tuned it

They did a bunch of other stuff too but above is the main speed mods and they did an amazing job installing and tuning everything.

Future mods for me...better brakes and a little bit later prob a bigger turbo
Again...Thanks SBR for all the help and the great work!

Now...what everyones really been waiting for...LOL....Pics

that turbo looks like a 16g to me. The outlet on the compressor side is facing up, and has a flange like a 16g. The 20g is an outlet poinging down and has no flange. Also, to me 318whp for 20psi on a 20g seems rather low. Every thing looks great. That front mount is huge!!!

It is a TD05H 20G...what you are describing is a TD06 20G, they are completely different.

Way nice. Car is very clean. No offense at all but the bumper doesn't look that great.

What kind of seats are those? I almost want to think they're evo seats.

what made you get the 20g instead of one of the other 4000 turbo's they carry??? great car, post some times if you go to the track. love that front mount :thumb:

Wow, the car looks awesome (although I thought the front bumper looked a little cut up). I live like 8 miles away, we should race sometime =) How do you like the BM tranny insert? Can you feel/see it working? I've talked with Nathan Silveri who runs with one in his 415 HP 91 GST, and has pulled off a 1.78 60 ft time and has ran the quarter mile in 12.6 sec @ 118 mph. I don't know if you got to see his car (red with black stripe) while your there but I bet it is a friggin BEAST. It gives my tractionless 91 GST some hope =) Check out the slowboy website for specs on his car.

Thanks for the compliments Sonicnofadz! Its actually 450whp currently on stock intake manifold, STOCK FPR AND FUEL LINES. No matter what a stripper tells you, you dont need an fpr or lines to make big power. I have to compliment Samir on such a clean car and for being a great customer, THANK YOU!

Looks great!

i would 100% say that I would do the same thing with the bumper. who cares how it looks? that fmic and grin is badass.

Everything looks great, I can't imagine having that many things installed at once, I get giddy when I put one or two things in  I have also had great experience with Slowboy, they are a little too far for me to have work done since I have another local DSM shop closer to me in PA, but I always get everything I order within a day or so without any problems :thumb:

Yes, but if you found a way to control the fuel at WOT from running rich you would see more power than you have already. Controlling fuel is a good but if you can't control every aspect you are still fighting rich/lean conditions.

A/F Ratio in and of itself is the most important, which is total fuel control. The A/Fs on the wideband are right where I want them so I see no need for an fpr. FYI, Curt Brown went 10.0's on stock fuel lines, rail, and regulator.

There are better ways to "control fuel at WOT" than an fpr ;)

Yes, there are ways to "control fuel at WOT", that is the point of the post. If there are more than one ways to do it then by all means explore them. It is just key to do something about fuel delivery in one way or another. Sometimes good enough is not the way people should go about doing things and a 255 whatever is going to overrun the fpr that is standard on the car.

I understand Curt went 10.0's on stock fuel system/components, but how far would that same car with a better fuel system/components go...9's. :thumb:

I agree, however "overrunning" the stock fpr is no more than raising fuel pressure which can be compensated for by other means. My point is power can be made without it and just adding one will not necessarily increase power. Now lets not get too off topic, I'm sure theres many more posts concerning this.

Curt's fastest pass to date is 9.35, with alot of stock parts that many others upgrade. Lets face it, as a group, DSMers are cheap, that's why we bought the car, to go fast for cheap!

Now back to Samir's car!

I agree with that.

Just giving the post at hand a suggestion on future areas to target. One way or another.

Its ported but not clipped.....I havent really checked to see when it hits 19-20 psi...but when I go out tonight in a couple hours...I'll make sure to test it out and ill post here so you know.

Its really a nice turbo and would def reccomend it....i'll post later on when it hits max boost

By the way...thanks for all the comments! :dsm:

Sorry for not replying sooner but it hits 19-20 around 3700-3800

Yeah, that is about when all 20G's hit hard. I have the TDO6H version and get 22psi at 3,800rpm. It is in the porting. NOT clipping.

I tend to agree on the bumper cutout. Here's how I would have done it. Out-lined in red to highlight the cutout.
