So I bought this car completely stock, back when I was a junior in high school (2004).
Now I graduated from the best year ever:hellyeah:! Yeah right, FML for now :). Well I'm happy to have my car back on the road, has been sitting since 2007. Just put on my VIS CF hood today, fits perfectly. I just want opinions on how the car should be dressed-up. I don't want it to be ricey. so please critique anything about it and if i can't defend myself you win. Performance-wise I just want my car to run 13s and be a reliable daily driver because my pops(55 year old asian man) takes it to work 5/7 days. I am also going to reconvert my doors back to OEM, lambo's are not worth it. The rims are not on my car yet, I was wondering if I should get them painted. My car also sits higher than stock. Suggestions on exterior and interior? What other bolt-on mods should i save up for to reach my goal? Do you guys name your car? If so, i'll take some suggestions from the DSM population. Thank you

Bolt-on Performance Mods:
Injen Intake
HKS BOV
Apexi N1 Exhaust
Megan Downpipe
SBR 20G (Ported by FP and internal wastegate)
2.5" Custom Intercooler Piping
Ebay Front Mount (Upgraded from the smaller Greddy FMIC kit, good or bad?)
Stock Injectors
Stock Exhaust Manifold
Stock Suspension

Exterior:
Carbon Fiber gas lid
Carbon Fiber hood
Projector Headlights w/ 8000k HID

Any reason you uploaded a picture of your pet? :p

You should be able to hit your goal with the current turbo. I'd say get an upgraded pump, some injectors, an MBC, and a tuning device/logger.

You could go with a 190lph pump. Or a 255lph with an AFPR.

Either an S-AFC/logger or ECMlink.
If S-AFC, no larger than 650cc injectors. If ECMlink, as large as you want.

A Hallman boost controller.

Leave the wheels silver.

I don't name my cars.

God i miss my Spyder!!!

Car looks great, get those wheels on there.

Also what that thing behind the front seats? Looks like a cover of some kind?

The alligator was a miscellaneous. it was my buddy's pet in college. we would let someone feed it a mice, if a 15 second keg stand was accomplished. Anyways lets get back to the DSM talk LOL.

So I will keep the rims silver and a MBC.

I have the the walbro 255HP. Should I trade it for the 255LP? also my buddy said that he installed the FPR (civic) and the outcome was a scent of gasoline. Could this be a hazard(not the smell, but would an improper installation cause a loss in gas)?

I just sold my 680s injector because I couldn't afford a DSMLink setup. Should I just upgrade to evo injectors and use a SAFC/logging?

I do have a custom tonneau cover. Wanted it to make the car a 2-seater. I will eventually paint it( black or stock color?).

A cable (Tactrix 2.0) and logger can be had for about $200 that will let you do the reflashing that has been mentioned. It is cheaper than an safc and a logger by quite a bit and gives you full control over fuel and timing to the degree that you can run any injectors you want and also adjust nearly anything else you want. I've said this a couple of times before but I honestly do not believe that there are any situations now where an SAFC should be used with a 2g anymore. If cost is an issue for a non 98/99 ecu you can get an evo8 ecu and cheaper cable for a little less than a 98/99 ecu and the more expensive cable but for the people who already have a 98/99 ecu it is incredibly cheap. Only 96s and 97 are left hung out to dry.

As for finishing out your car get a wideband, some injectors, and a cable for your ecu. You'll be well set to make a lot more power and some wicked noises.

I do believe you on how the safc will be obsolete to the 2g, but i need your help on what you are trying to tell me.

I went to the site. The cable for the ECU, are your referring to the Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 with Full Adapter Set? What could I use for a logger and where can i find one for cheap? I never looked into it. All i know is it is a handheld device like one of those PDAs.

Also is the wideband necessary? i feel like you only need this if you want to run a rediculous amount of boost.

IMO a wideband is necessary if you are going to do any tuning at all. Sure you could tune without one but the difference is between having larger injectors that work and larger injectors with a good tune. Do you really want to leave 30hp on the table without a wideband and risk your motor?

The Tactrix 2.0 is what you want but I don't think you need a full adapter set unless you want to flash Subarus and Nissans. EvoScan OBDII Mitsubishi MUTII DataLogger Scantool is a good place for a logger. It is called evoscan and it does a lot of stuff but you'll need a laptop to run it on and not a PDA. They also sell cables there but they are the 1.3 version that will not flash a DSM only evos, Subarus, and a few other cars.
