Wow that was a steal. I agree I'd shop for a used tranny.

The best thing to do now is NOT to pull the old fluid out, to save that tranny throw some tranny fix in there to neutralize all the oxidizing and will do what a tranny service couldn't. Matter of fact if you do the tranny service your gonna kill the tranny.

Well the old is already gone. Car is sitting with no oil coolant or tranny fluid, getting all new fluids tomorrow. Tyranny Oil Coolant T-case differential.

On another note, someone offered me 2800 for my 95 AWD 5 speed today. Money in hand. I think I'm gonna jump. I get to go from slightly modded and lots of problems with banged up body, to a super clean %100 stock........automatic......... Considering a new tranny and everything i need, I will make 1700 for this trade.

Huge update. Changed fluid used some Trans-X and a new filter. Took some parts of my current DD, and first time first try car moved in all gear perfectly. Felt awesome driving the car to finish paying off my $800. Should of seen the look on the guys face! Priceless! He told me it was gunna cost me 1500 for a new tranny!! HAAA More pictures coming tonight.

Also, keeping my other talon and not selling it! Why not keep them both??? The red clean stock auto AWD or the white modded 5 spd AWD, which should i push today??? Damn I am gunna need a talon coin.

That's great. A fluid/filter change is the first thing to do when it seems like the transmission is toast. It's amazing how old trans fluid "kills" the transmission. When I first bought my Talon, I put a whole quart of fluid in my car because the dipstick said it was low ( I thought). The first time I put it on the road, the transmission started slipping when it got hot. Eventually, it started to slip to the point it where it barely moved.

The transmission was replaced by a previous owner so, I thought all of this was odd. When I checked the fluid, it looked good but air bubbles were in it. I drained the fluid, installed a new filter and re-filled the transmission. After that, the transmission was like new and it still is.

Amazing find. I bought a 95 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Manual with a blown motor earlier this year for $1000.

That is an awesome deal. The cheapest I can find is like 1500 or more. And like 3 hours away... Yuma sucks.

Having an issue figured id try in this post before i start a new one. The trans was working great until today. In D it allways try to shift to first, regardless of speed, i can use 2 and still drive, but cant get it to shift to third or forth. Any ideas?

Lol no its from my 2nd story roof top! Its hard to describe the feeling waking up and having to decide which to drive?? The super quiet stock auto or the screaming 5 speed. i can say tho, atleast in my case the auto seems waaaaay slower! might be the absent of pipes exhaust and an O2 dump.

Still looking for help with the auto tranny problems tho!

It may be in limp mode. Here is a search I came up with for "limp mode," if it is I believe it will not shift into 3rd or over drive.
