jeeze thats crazy someone pulled in front of you after the build. looked good though and i bet its fun to drive. good luck with the insurance co. and getting your car back on the road!

car is currently at ground vision performance and is going to be getting all fixed up and back on the road soon, no frame damage, i think just a little dent and just some sheet metal.

update: absolutely no frame damage. but the paint and pannels are 30% away from a total loss. lucky me. headlight housing is all fixed up and parts are on the way! vis OEM carbonfiber hood, and new 99 Front bumper and new FMIC on teh way as well as paint on the other pannels, what do you guys think of light coat of oem color paint over carbon fiber?

Hey man i'm really glad to see your getting it fixed up so soon. I personaly know that accidents like this can be tragic if they total it out. You came out so good on this one though. 3700 and not totalled... good f888ing deal man. Keep up the good work man. About to go out and work on mine as we speak..

yeah that looks like SEX! i was thinking some evo 9 BBS's or some bronze evo 9s (not BBS) but for now i gotta keep the stockers cause they are decently light.

It was a good car, seeing yours and the new hood brought back the memory. Good luck with with the repairs.

thanks guys for the comments i cant wait to get her back on the road again and it will be looking good as new hopefully. i am going to try to attend some meets when its back on the road and meet some more of the community in seattle.

so just an update: the carbon creations hood, SUCKS.. would not recomend it to anyone. the finish was decent quality but it fit like crap. there was no holes pre drilled for the stock hood latch. so we ditched the carbon creations hood and went VIS.. which i might add is of extreme quality. the latch is metal and reinforced with carbon fiber. im expecting a true bolt on hood right here. ill keep you guys posted.

Edit: pix of the highly recomended VIS hood

as you can see EVERYTING is already pre cut out, and they even made indentations for the bump stops to indicate where the hood pins should go.:hellyeah: although VIS uses a metal latch instead of a fiber glass one, so im curious if it will hold at high speed with no pins, only way to find out would be to secure the hood so it has some free play (string or rope) and then see if the factory latch holds at 120 mph:sneaky: if it pops up at least the rope will catch it instaed of bash my wind sheild. if it pops up, ill install my sparco hood pins :)

i would also like to add, that so far i can not find one defect in the weve. just hope everything bolts up!

Aweszome 2g. Sucks about th accident but atleast you ended with some new goodies and the car was not a loss. in for some new vids once tuned

Glad it all worked out in the end, but keep the VIS out of the sun as much as possible. My cf hood started fading like 1 year after owning it.However i must say that this was with Cali blistering 100 degree summer sun.

Yeah i dont think i have too much to worry about in washington, the new hoods have a uv protective coating hopefully it will hold diring the summer, i plan to cover it while parked if in the sun, also this hood took 15 minutes to install by myself :)

more pix but after a wash and dry; car hasn't moved from this spot in a month because i haven't had time to mess with dsmlink for tuning. I have a thread in the tuning section if anyone wants to help me out.

sorry for the sideways pix, not sure how to correct that...
