Thanks for the compliment.
Well I have the block and head sitting in my room waiting to be mated.
The block: JAM Stage II Shortblock
-Bored .020
-Wiseco coated pistons & rings, 8:2
-ACL rod & main brgs
-Eagle rods w/ARP bolts
-ARP main studs
-Cometic Head gasket w/ arp head studs
-External Oil cooler
The 1g head was also built by JAM
-SS 1mm oversized valves
-Revised Lifters
-JAM upgraded valve springs w/ titanium retainers
-bronze valve guides
-some port work done
-stock cams and cam gears for now
As for the turbo, I'm sticking with my Evo III big 16g, evo III exhaust manifold with SBR tubular 02 housing. This is only till I have the money for a new turbo setup. I should still be able to make some decent numbers with this setup. Once the motor is broken in, I'm getting DSMlink and off to the dyno I go.
Pictures of all this and more will be posted as soon as my shipment of gaskets and random parts come in from JNZtuning.
I assume traction won't be that bad on a 16G, but are you going to keep it FWD or will ever convert awd?
All your pictures look great. You must really take care of your car everything is nice and clean. I only live 40 minutes away.
. Also a problem I ran into that might help u with. I have similiar intercooler. I originally ditched my fan shroud. If you still have your's keep it and just cut it to fit around the new intercooler. I was haveing overheating issues, until I found another one and modified it to fit around my intecooler. I didnt think it would matter but it did on my car.hey man got ## link from my thread. Just wanted to say nice job keep up the good work. Also I need u to come to Arkansas and redo my fuel lines. Mine look ghetto compared to yours. Also a problem I ran into that might help u with. I have similiar intercooler. I originally ditched my fan shroud. Sickness. Your project is going great. Can't wait to see it complete.
. Until I'm realy. The fan shroud is the plastic or sheet metal part that sorrounds (spelling?) the fan. It is a very important component of the fan assembly becasue it forces the air to go in the "direction" that you want it to. Like for the radiator in a pull through setup, the shroud makes the fan "suck" air through the radiator and not just from the back of/around the radiator if the fan was jsut there spinning. Hope that made sense. Its also good for safety so you dont cut off your finger...

P.S. Oh, awesome job on the car keep the pics coming.
. Yeah I also removed the driver side fan when I deleted my A/C on my 1ga. If your car starts to overheat then you can by another fan and wire it up to the passenger side fan wiring. I'm sure you have seen that around on these boards.Yeah I think it is "the black part surrounding the A/C fan," if i know what your talking about. Here is a link with the best picture I could find using a quick search on google:
