I bought the rear sub frame, rear suspension, drive shaft, axles, gas tank, and sub frame bolts. I'll post pictures when I get a chance. the gas tank needs to be cleaned and I need new secondary and main pump assembly. They are rusted and there full of varnish. What can i use to clean the gas tank?

the economy hasn't hurt you one bit i see. :rocks:
good luck on build, are you gonna daily drive this car? won't aluminum rods strech?

i been thinking it over and aluminum rods are recommended for over +800 hp motors.(magnus motorsport) i dont plan on making 800 more around 650. the economy did effect me. my mother was laid off and i have to pay three time my regular rent.:banghead: because of this i haven't finished my car and will take me longer than i thought.

i ordered my turbo housing. :Da BEP t3 .70 a/r. I'm going to have it ceramic coated with the tubular headers, and maybe the down pipe. black coating is rated to 2000 deg but i like the chrome look but its rated at 1500 deg. how hot does it get in the 4g63t? Are the BEP housing cast ported or do i have to port it?

here are some pictures of the car:

Is anybody using ITM products? I want to go with OEM but I would like to save some cash to build my transmission.

I removed the engine yesterday. I took me the whole day because I did it all by my self. I was the first time I pulled a motor and transmission ever. I label all the connectors and I recognized 90 percent of them. There some small connecter that I didn’t know what they were. They where behind the IM and had a white/yellow substance inside them. Does anybody know what they are? I found signs that the car had nitrous oxide before.I made a mess in the garage. What works well to clean oil off concrete? Is there anybody running a Holset hx40/35 hybrid?

If the orange cleaner doesn't work use gasoline but obviously be careful and ventilate the area for an hour or so...:aha: Good luck on your build, make sure you double check everything when you put it back in for your first time.

mad build.... wish i had the time and Money to do this shit!!

i cant even afford to upgrade to a 16g.. hahah
To many bills!
But no for real, coming soon i am making my 2.3l 6bolt savings fund... hoping to have enough money to do a complete build, Right, (like this one) within the next year!!

But anyways!

Good jobs sor far and good luck!!

Wish I saw this earlier. Just 2.4 it, don't listen to the 2.0 guys who are too afraid / too cheap to do it. You can easily rev a 2.4 build out to 11 grand.

I would go 2.4l G4CS/4G64 before I would a 2.3l. The 2.3's have a bad problem ovaling the cylinders after awhile. Plus you get a tiny bit more displacement that way as well.

But riddle me this, doesn't Brent Rau use a 2.0l in his 6.80 Eclipse? I can never find any solid information.

I wanted something that didn’t require mixing and matching to work. 4g63 block and head. I like to keep it simple. The Holset is enough mixing and matching for me. The 2.3L has been purchased and I’m not looking back. I have a spare 2.0L short block. If the 2.3L doesn’t work ill go 2.0L and change to kiggly springs. My goal is 650 HP. Is the STM oil pan good as OEM?

Compared to the 4G64 w/ 4G63 head swap, you actually don't have to do very much at all to throw a 4G63 head onto a G4CS block. I won't say you don't have to do ANYTHING, but it's very straight-forward.
