Unfortunately there's nothing new to report. I've got the ECMLink speed density stuff installed, but haven't had a chance to begin working on the tune. I plan to spend some time on it this weekend. This has been the busiest summer of my life!

Awesome Series...
I just finished up on your website for the talon, i've got a 90 tsi and i only wish i could get it to your pre 6266 turbo setup.

I agree with some others on here, you would do well hosting a Speed episode, or perhaps starting one about DSMs?

anyway,
awesome work man

Thank you for visiting my website and for the kind words! Good luck with your car and you definitely don't need a 6266 to have fun in a DSM- turbos like the 68HTA are superb and are all bolt-on too!

I must say ive seen your videos on youtube first and they are great. You had me rolling with these vid's good work and dont stop doing what you do...

I think you would do well commentating a chess match between retards, let alone the great job on a subject matter which I love. Great build, but way, way, better videos and commentary. You are a funny bastard. Keep doing your thing.

Im curious to see if you really will turn this mazda into a dragon wagon..
with all your previous builds i think you definitely have the experience/knowledge to coax about 500whp out of that mpv's little 6cylinder

Thanks! Shoot, you know I've been plotting and scheming on this! :D

That said, it's main purpose right now is for it to be a reliable around town kid hauler, so I may tweak it a bit in the future, but for now I have to leave it alone. I even replaced the air filter with a stock paper one! I'm pretty sure I've never done that before in any car I've owned. ROFL

Nice build and great entertaining/informative videos.:thumb:

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the videos too!

Great videos as usual, so please keep them coming. I noticed you had the fiav/ isc delete plate installed. How is that working out for you? Did you have any problems with your idle and did ecmlink make it easy to compensate and tune?

epic man, just epic!

Thank you, glad you liked it!

Thanks man, will do! Regarding the fiav/isc delete, I made that little plate myself after a bad ISC was responsible for burning up the innards of an ECU in my Mirage years ago.

It has always held a rock solid idle once the engine gets a little heat into it, but for the first 20-30 seconds or so you have to help it idle. I really don't mind this, but ideally a complete, functional throttle body will give you the most control in ECMLink.

great video i'm getting speed density for mine can't wait to try it out I take it the next video will be it making a few passes at the track ?

Thank you sir! Yes, the next video will be taking the car for some shakedown runs. I hope to get it out for y'all this week.

I honestly avoided installing speed density for months because I thought it would mean weeks of re-tuning and fiddling around. I was wrong! Using the sample ECMLink VE table gave me a great starting point, from there dialing it in was nowhere near as complicated as I expected. Good luck with your car!

So I happened to be slacking off at work today and ran across your thread. I recognized your car immediately from your webpage that I came across while surfing the net many months ago. Just wanted to say that my car would still be sitting in my barn with half an engine (bought it that way) had it not been for your generous and humble approach for sharing your passion. Keep up the antics!, You've inspired this noob! Can't wait to get it close to what you've done..

Thank you for sharing this, and I really appreciate the support! Comments like yours are the honest reason why I make these videos and stuff. Best of luck to you and your car, have fun with it!

WOW! Im so glad I found your build thread! I seriously wish you had a weekly scheduling of your videos. They are very entertaining! Great job sir and it seriously is great to have someone that is so dedicated to our DSM's that can motivate the rest of us stuck in the earlier stages of modding a DSM.

Thank you for the great support! I wish I could do these videos more often too, as I really do have fun making them and the support from everyone has been overwhelming! I know I've said it before, but I have hundreds of ideas written down but only limited time these days. I do have a great one planned for y'all in the next few weeks. :sneaky:

Thanks again and good luck with your car!
