Hey everyone, I have a 1991 GSX and I just installed the MSD DIS 2 box. My question is for those running DIS 2 also. I am able to get rpm readings on the gauge cluster, but when I look at my S-AFC2, I am not getting an rpm reading on it. I know that it is rpm based on its adjustments and now I am worried that with the MSD bow running and no rpm reading on the AFC, will it still make the correct fuel adjustments or not? Will I need to run the tach adapter#8912 from MSD to get it to read on the AFC? Right now I am going to loop the connections until I get a good answer for this. Well I just drove it around the block and my low, mid, and High trims went to 100 across the board. After a mile or so I noticed the low trim go down to 96% and the others at 100%. Car ran fine, maybe alittle smoother, also the staged rev limiter is a nice addition too :thumb: . But am I still correcting on the AFC?

no one has an answer for this? come on, I am sure that someone else here has had the same problem before and knows how to fit this. :(

I'd call or email the manufacturer about that. I'm sure they will help you.

I can't answer your question, but hopefully, I can put you in the right direction. I have a 2G and I need the tach adapter, but for the best answer on your setup, head over to this link and download the user's manual on the left side of the screen:

Hope that helps!

Well, my suggestion is buy the adapter it will solve the problem. All DSM with a Dis2 need the adapter that is right from MSD.

Thanks ;)

mine did the same thing when i installed my msd dis 2. after i installed the tach adapter it solved my problem. i would suggest that.
