hi, i know the dis-2 will work great but how about the digital-6 or 6al? i want a 2 step, do these have 2 step?
The 6 series ignition boxes on not designed for distributorless engines. You would have to have an ignition box per coil to make it work.

The DIS2 boxes are for distributorless engines. They are multi-channel capacitive discharge instead of single channel like the 6 series boxes.

The Stacker-4 is basically the equivalent version of a distributorless 6AL, but I am not sure if it would work for us because it is designed to connect to a coil-per-cylinder ignition system.

The DIS2 does feature 2-step and works well on the 4G63.

do the dis2 systems still have multiple spark discharge? I know the older ones like the 6 and 7 series spark for something like 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation, but I don't remember if the new ones do.
Yes, the DIS2 is also multiple spark CD (capacitive discharge). The DSI2 is designed for 4 cylinders with two coil packs. They are all pretty much designed to produce a spark series for at least 20* of crank rotation. All except for the digital-7 (which is 21-22*).
