more steering angle?

Hey guys I'm right in the middle of converting my car into a drift car, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get more steering angle? I wont be messing around with the steering for awhile but I want to start planing for it now. any help is appreciated.

I can't help you directly but I recall either motoiq or speedhunters in older articles showed what some drift cars had done for increased steering angle. You could try sifting through their archives to see if you can learn anything.

I don't believe that anyone sells an OTS spindle for turning a DSM into a drift car, so I think that you should be lurking in the 240 SX forums to see if you can adapt their set-up.

A quick look at that site make me wonder if the "spacers" would work on our racks (2G).

The tie rod ends are the easy part. You are going to have to mod your spindles. The are really good articles all over the 240 forums on this. Find an idea you like then run with it.

Out of curiosity, are you going to convert to RWD, put in a 35/65 center, or what?

As of right now my buddy and I are just ripping out the front drive shafts to play with it, I have the tranny for the swap im just waiting for the money for the driveshaft and mounts and everything. the center and rear diff are both welded.

Im testing the waters for the rear axles for my personal knowledge. But I plan on putting on putting a Ford rear end in the long run. I've always wanted a DSM drift car so Im not letting anything stop me. considering DSMs have such a stout engine.
I've talked to alot of people here locally and they were really interested to hear about a DSM drifting.

Pulling the front driveshafts out of a stock DSM AWD transmission is just going to destroy your transmission... I don't know where you got that idea from, but it is a terrible one...

The tranny was on the way out before I even started this, I'm honestly not too worried about it. This car is my play car if it breaks it breaks.

Somebody should be able to CNC/lathe up a quick steering rack gearset with some research..
