I drained my radiator, and changed my thermostat. I put in new Antifreeze. But, my light is still comming on. My Antifreeze was not that bad. But now What I think it is, is the sensor.

What I have noticed is, It comes on durring first and second gear and fades off and on. If Its on for a little, and i turn my heater off, the light fades off, turn the heater back on, and it fades back on....I dont want to go fixing a bunch of things and they not be it. Would it be my sensor, sence I drive a 95?

The light usually comes on when the resivoir is getting low not the system itself. Fill up your overflow bottle and it should go away.

Thats the first thing I did, But it still has been comming on. My overflow is full....

But, The wires that hook up on the side. Look a little dirty, Maybe the sensor is just messed up? Is it an easy replacement?

If the wires are dirty that could do it. I would get some electric cleaner and spray it both plugs and see if that helps. If not just get a new resivior from a junkyard or something with a sensor in it...or borrow a fellow DSMers to check the problem.

is there a page on how to? Its not in my manual.
I said you could if you wanted, I never said it'd be easy or easier than just replacing the whole bottle. To work with it you'd probably have to take the whole thing out anyways so just do as everyone else has said and replace the whole thing, it will save you time and a headache if you didn't get it right.

Take the whole bottle out and look at it carefully. I realize you're running a different platform, but for the NT cars the sensor is held into the bottom of the bottle by a simple rubber plug. No threads, glue, screws, etc. You just pull it straight out and push a new one in.

Also, try disconnecting the sensor. If your light stays off then you'll know it's definitely the sensor causing all this.

I heard its the only thing that would cause it....Would unplugging my sensor, make the light stay on or off?

Off. And you're right, it is the only thing that would make the light come on... I wasn't thinking.
