I recently purchased a 98' Eclispse GSX, automatic (it only has 38k miles on it), i am really new to the DSM world, i have moslty dealt with honda and acura performance cars. Now when u guys say 1g and 2g i have no idea wut u mean, but i am trying to get some of the ideas form reading past forum threads. Now any ideas wut i should do first just to up performance and acceleration on it. From reading i got the idea to get possibly Greddy BOV, boost controller w/ aftermarket boost gauge, new timing belts, etc. If any one else has a gsx automatic and has any suggestion let me kno, cause i am eager to show up my buddy with his rsx type-s.

1) "u" is not "you".
2) "wut" is not "what".
3) "i" is not "I".
4) "kno" is not "know".

There's a sticky on this. As has been said before, we're a technical forum, and as such we require proper spelling and punctuation from members. That being said:

1G refers to the 1st generation DSMs. 1990 - 1994. 2G refers to the 2nd generation, 95-99.
Follow the upgrade path listed in the tech section for your 2G. Don't just start throwing parts at it or you'll kill it.
Good luck, and enjoy it!

Sorry about that, I guess after years of internet talk, my proper spelling is corrupt. Thanx though I didnt see that sticky on that

well you could start off with a boost controller around 50 bucks then a 1G BOV and a MBC ... cheap but the first two are definetly needed for future tinkering..im still learning too but thats what i started off with and you wont spend more then 200 and just do searches on how to install them all
